Purion will not start Bosch Cx Gen2 , Purion batteries changed . Will start on BoschDiagnostic app
@Ala - welcome to the forum! The key clue here is that the Bosch Diagnostic app starts it but the Purion won't. That tells you the motor and battery are almost certainly fine - the problem is the communication between the Purion display and the system.

A few things worth checking: • Purion connector - unplug and reseat the connector at the back of the Purion. Corrosion or a slightly loose connection is the most common cause of exactly this symptom. Give the contacts a clean with a dry cloth or contact cleaner if there's any green or white residue.

Purion itself - even with fresh batteries in a remote, the Purion display unit itself can fail. If you know anyone with a compatible Purion, it's worth swapping to test.

Check for error codes - when you connect via the Diagnostic app, see if it's throwing any codes. That'll tell you whether it's seeing the Purion at all, or reporting a specific fault.

Firmware - if the bike has been sitting a while or the Diagnostic app shows a firmware update is available, it's worth running it. A Bosch dealer can do this properly if needed.

One question: is the Purion completely unresponsive (no lights, nothing), or does it power on but the motor just won't engage? That distinction would help narrow it down further.

If reseating the connector doesn't sort it, I'd lean toward the Purion display unit itself having given up - they're not the most robust bit of kit Bosch ever made, and a replacement isn't ruinously expensive. Your local Bosch dealer can confirm with a proper diagnostic read.

Hi,

Thanks for your informative reply.

The Purion is the original model and cannot be removed from handlebars .

After a hard start using button on power tube Purion lit up for a couple of seconds then went blank and would not start bike.

Bike is currently at bike shop and they are emailing Bosch in Germany for advice .

After bike had been started using diagnostic laptop I rode it home but would not start after switching off.
