I have the Ergo 4 system on my Explorer E+. I can’t figure out how to reset the trip on the display so after 2 rides, the trip is saying 6 hours for one trip.

Any help, Giant St Albans were not very helpful.

Found this... Not sure if it helps...

Giant / Momentum (RideControl GO, RideControl Dash, RideControl App)

Giant e-bikes use RideControl displays.
DisplayReset Method
RideControl GO (single window)Hold the MODE button for 3 seconds. The trip value will reset automatically.
RideControl Dash (color, touch)Tap the trip area, then tap the reset arrow.
RideControl App (phone as display)Open the app, go to “Trip”, tap the gear icon, then “Reset”.
Common problem: On RideControl GO, a short press changes assist level, not menus. Make sure you are on the trip screen (not odometer). Cycle with MODE short taps until you see TRIP, then hold.

Yes, the 'new' Ergo 4.... I would 'walk' away from that bit of 'technology'. At least you'll know when your tyres are flat, up until the expensive valve caps get stolen ? Heavy enough to put the wheel out of balance ?

Ridiculously expensive model that one.

You need to get into the settings menu. Once there you can reset the trip computer (trip distance, trip time) To access the settings menu press the top button (called button A) and the bottom button (button C) for about 1 and 1/2 seconds. When you do this the settings menu is displayed and you can then use button a an C to move up and down the menu. The middle button B will allow you to enter the selected setting.

You need to get a copy of the E-bike GETTING STARTED MANUAL SMART GATEWAY 2.0 V1.0

It's all described at 3.3.4 RideControl Ergo on page 35.

If your software is not properly up-to-date on your bike for the ride control unit OR up-to-date on the battery charging power distribution system the menu will not display... Least that was my experience on a brand new bike delivered without the software updates being done. These updates are best done by the dealer. Do not try to use the app. (My strenuous recommendation) Here in Australia the Giant Dealers are Franchised and their quality varies (personal experience).... Given your comments about your dealer consider trying a different
dealer.

Enjoy your bike. With a good bike shop the Giant bikes are excellent.
