Walking my local trails at the moment…
Wish I’d left the dog at home. a1d25155-700d-416f-80e5-64da521d9478.webpb17c8caf-d5b5-4f01-9103-39d1f2377211.webp

A big chook on yesterdays ride. Not rare but elusive in woodland, they'll stand quietly as you ride past but this boy was on the middle of the trail. Was making a bit of boong-boong noise as it walked away so probably wasn't happy that the paparazzi stopped for a pic.

Had a little race with a hare today. He won. He was running with one ear up, one down and alternating them. I guess that's a hare warning signal?

This was the only other creature I encountered, although there were lots of fish in the same river, too. I was told of a house that has camels in a field next to it but I didn't see it. Must have taken a wrong turn somewhere 🫤

Camels live at Little Durnford Manor apparently. Just looked them up. I would have need to take a slightly different route for a chance of seeing them. Next time...

Hmmm. One bobcat and lots of wild turkeys. Party on! Sounds like nature is working on balancing things out.
Cool looking cats them Bobcats , pretty viscous though. Seen a video of one attacking a woman.

I walked towards the Bobcat, as opposed to riding, as I wanted to give it time to walk away as opposed to attacking if it felt cornered. I have seen ring necked pheasants and coyotes in the park also.
