This is the only open question, the rest like prices, spec, stock colors etc. we already saw with the leaked pictures.

The power is the only real open question; Will they be stupid enough to limit it or do they give the freedom to their costumers to use what they want...

Yeah but it seems there won‘t be a final answer until the bike is released.

One says he heard about a power limit, the other says the opposite … over and over again. And every time it triggers the whole limitation good or bad discussion again. Its getting boring and anyoing.
 
The power figures are pretty meaningless in the real world anyway. The stock Avinox system achieves it's peaks at unrealistically high cadences (100rpm). The Orbea RS tune will look less on paper but will be more useable in the real world. Nobody can maintain 100rpm cadence on a technical climb (probably not even on a bumpy forest road), most mountain bikers spin well below the 90rpm that roadies strive to achieve. Also (in Europe at least) the 750w compulsory ceiling is coming, it's just a matter of time until it arrives.
I'd say that Orbea have gone for the M2S for its size and packaging potential as much as for it's power potential, just comparing the silhouette of the new bike against the Bosch powered version shows how much sleeker the new one is (it's honestly stunning in the flesh, the pictures don't do it justice).

So what would be the difference on power on a extremely steep uphill. I have the Bosch CX4 and in Turbo I was not able to pedal up that hill. Because lack of cadence. It is so steep that the cadence was way below 50 and dropped to 0 because Bosch didn't had the power to help me. Will the cut of Avinox with 750 W be better in such scenarios? I guess it's about 40 - 45% steep...

"Freedom to their customers" might be the best way to describe it. I've checked again and received the same answer - no 750watt cap. 🤞

I wouldn't have ordered the new Wild if it were capped at 750W. I already own the Bosch version with those numbers, so there would be little reason for me to upgrade.
 
Confirmed once again by my local bike shop through Orbea, the motor is limited to 750W. I don't know if this will be the case in all markets, but I understand it will be. Abandon your optimism and start accepting that the motor is limited to 750W.

As for the options (for a mteam bike), they are few: podium fork, different tires, fast charger, carbon wheels, and handlebar and seatpost options. There is no possibility of modifying the groupset or brakes.

June 18th, official launch.
 
I don’t think, I'll go for a Podium, because I have to dismount the front wheel often. I have the feeling that the brake caliper needs to be adjusted everytime when the front wheel is removed, right?
 
There has to be something behind this if this is what they are doing. There must be some wind of regulation changes in some markets and they are getting ahead of it. I also wonder if this is why so many brands rushed to release bikes in April so they could make hay while the sun was shining.

Maybe the reason has nothing to do with regulations. They still have Bosch-powered Wilds sitting in the lineup. If they started shouting about 1000W+ and full-power Avinox figures, the Bosch version would suddenly become a much harder sell. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️

no the brake is not the problem. you never have to touch it.
i have an intend USD fork and often dismount the frontwheel. The thing i hate is getting the wheel back in.
the tubes are not connected so if you put the wheel and axle in the other side will turn away.
also there is no positive fit for the hub.
turning the bike on the saddle and bar will make it much more easy.

so you don't have to adjust anything, but changing the wheel is a pain on USD forks.

If next week comes, and the Wild is locked down at 750 as rumored, consider hurrying up and buying a competitor Avinox bike with 1300-1500 w ASAP before they go away because they might no longer be available in the future.
 
I accidentaly just sold my 2023 Wild 😅😂
Would be a kick in the ass if the Avinox Wild comes performance reduced...
