Welcome to the forum @Wilkimtb - good choice of rabbit hole to fall down. Orbea make genuinely excellent eMTBs, so you're not starting in a bad place.

That said, £1,750 - £2,200 is a tricky budget for a new Orbea. Their entry-level eMTB range tends to start above that in 2026 - so the honest first question is: are you open to used/ex-demo? That budget will get you significantly more bike second-hand than new.

The other thing worth knowing before diving into specific models: What kind of riding? Orbea do two very different eMTB families:

Orbea Wild - full-power trail/enduro bike (Bosch CX or Shimano EP801, proper travel, the one for actual mountain biking)

Orbea Rise - lightweight trail bike with a reduced-output motor (Shimano EP801 RS), more natural feel, less assistance - suits confident riders who want a bike that still handles like a normal MTB

Quick pros/cons of Orbea generally:✅ Brilliant frame quality and geometry

✅ MyO custom colour programme (if that matters to you) • ✅ Good dealer network in the UK

⚠️ Spares and motor support go through Shimano/Bosch channels - fine, but worth knowing • ⚠️ Premium pricing means used is often better value at your budget

What's your riding background - trails, fire roads, general fitness riding? And are you set on new, or would a used bike work? That'll help narrow it down properly.
