I’ll admit it—I used ChatGPT to dial in my suspension, and it worked way better than I expected.

I started with the standard FOX recommended settings as a baseline. The bike felt decent, but not amazing—kind of the usual “good on paper, meh on trail” situation. From there, I fed ChatGPT details about my setup and riding style and told it exactly what I wanted to improve (more plushness, better small bump, still supportive when pushing hard, etc.).

It suggested some changes, I made the adjustments, and honestly… the bike now feels the best it ever has.

More usable travel, way more comfortable at slower speeds, and still composed when things pick up. It’s one of those rare “why didn’t I do this sooner” moments.

Not saying it replaces real-world testing or experienced tuners—but as a starting point or fine-tuning tool, it’s absolutely worth trying.

Curious if anyone else has gone down this route?

Yes I’ve tried it to and it seems to know what it’s doing! I told it what was happening on the trail it told me to slow the rebound and that was the right answer. Also bike setup. Saddle height, bar roll and lever angle. It will ask for pictures of the bike and you on the bike. I’ve had my bike set up sorted for a long time and understand what works for me. When I got a new bike recently I used chat gpt and it done a good job. I then got it to sort out my gravel bike set up. That was never quite right but it made a far more comfortable for me.
Certainly worth a try for people especially if you’re not sure on set up. Bike fitters beware 🤣

Yip for both suspension and motor settings as I couldn't find anyone 'decent' near to me to set the bike up. Suspension was excellent and I have only made very minor adjustments to what was suggested (Fox 36 and changed low speed compression from suggested 4 to 6). Similar on motor to maximise both fun & battery but still tweaking that - auto currently 75nm/600W & trail 80nm/750W.

Not as good with other stuff as I asked if I needed a longer stem (45mm) to help keep front wheel down on tech ascents and the answer was both yes & no.

Because I have 'remember history' enabled, I don't need to give ChatGPT context when asking a question which makes prompts so much easier
