Levo Gen 4 Turbo Levo G4 Motor - Firmware Upgrade from Specialized to Sworks?

Has there been any discussion if Specialized will offer an option to upgrade the Turbo Levo Pro, Expert, Comp G4 motor (101nm, 666w), firmware update, to match the Sworks motor capabilities (111nm, 720w?)

From everything I can tell, these are the same exact motors hardware internally, just with a different firmware/ tune for the S-works.

If so, what would you be willing to pay for this firmware upgrade?

I asked in the shop on Monday about this as I am going to get an Expert and I was told a resounding no. Specialized want to give S-Works customers something more for their money rather than just some nicer bits and fancy paint.
 
Specialized use the paywall in their other E-bikes and I’ve not spotted any options for those bikes. For example Turbo Tero

I’d be pleased to be proven wrong!
 
For the Gen 3, owners who have the basic TCU and want to upgrade to the mastermind TCU, specialized will not allow it. Even if you purchase the mastermind TCU and all the harnesses, specialized won't allow the mastermind to pair with the motor even though all it would take is a simple firmware upgrade. So I highly doubt specialized will allow non-sworks Gen 4 owners to upgrade.
 
But isn't there a way how some people got the mastermind tcu running on Gen 3s with the basic tcu? I think I read somwhere that someone got their dealer to provide the update.
 
Specialized is the Apple of the Cycling world. They would never allow that to happen. Not even on the 1st of May when Bosch CX5 go to 100nm and 750W ... - I think this might really affect the sales of the allow versions being release in the next few months... many Bosch bike way cheaper and now with more power.

“I just found out from a Specialized dealer that Specialized will release an update for all new Turbo Levo bikes increasing them to 111 Nm. What I’m more interested in is the S-Works version — will there be a future update to increase the Nm even further…?

I would like to see what Bosch did, increase the torque and not the watts. I have detuned my S-works to get more miles out of it as the power is more than enough for me. I would like to see Auto shift, I could see that as being useful in tech situations where you did not have time to shift

Yeah I heard the same, all Levo 4 getting S-Works software, they obviously realized owners was pizzed and now hoping everyone is satisfied with just one type of software.

When will the software update be available for all levo 4 111 nm

and then all levo 4 models get 111 nm and 850 watts or stay at 810 watts but the nm goes up to 111 nm
 
Don't know what happened to the software but after almost 12 months I have done more than 6400 km but when I was home and looked at the display odometer shows 22 km.
Turned bike off/on a couple of times but still 22 km.
I wouldn't mind if the app showed the same but it's correct.
Anyone else had this bug?

I think the rumor that they might release another firmware update to maintain the market competitiveness of the Gen 4 makes sense. I think bringing the Levo to 111nm and the S-Works to 120nm is the minimum they can do to stay in the game. It's not convenient to pay the price Specialized asks for with a motor inferior to Bosch and Avinox, which are much cheaper. They will be forced to do this, and they have to do it quickly. Amflow and Bosch reacted quickly, and Specialized will be forced to act quickly too.

Although I agree with you, I don't think specialized care... They do there own thing at there own pace, S-works buys will still buy S-works cause it says S-works even though other brands offer more power and are cheaper. So as long as people are still buying them there is no need for the big S to keep up with the Jones' .

what does it say on the app for your motor millage? Also can I see a side photo of that bike, im loving the colour.

It's the same on the app it's a software or hardware bug and I guess hardware since no others got it.
LBS is still digging into it and found lots of other bugs when they connected bike to their system, they have now passed it on to Ride care since they have better software to use.
