Hi!
I am in a bit of a pickle with lighting for this bike.
The wiring loom has these two plugs. The red one is definitely the plug for lights, but I have no clue about the white one.
I have been told that the red plug has a controllable voltage?!
Anyway, I bought a Magicshine MJ-906S a few weeks back, and the correct connector cable. I got it all installed and connected the light, then popped the ebike battery in; there was a flash of light, and a "pop" sound, and that was the end of the light.
I received a replacement under warranty today, plugged it in and one LED lit up very faintly and then flickered before going out. I looked at the light, and there's a brown scorch mark around the LED, so that's another failure.
The light requires 12V, and is obviously getting more than that. So, if the red plug is supposed to be a controllable voltage, why is it not stepping down?
