This could happen to any one of us, hopefully bunging a few quid in the pot will give us all some good karma...

Hi All

My son had an accident just over one year ago and is now permanently in a wheelchair. He has done amazingly well over that year and has managed to achieve lots of goals that he wanted to achieve.

However, the one thing that alludes him so far is being able to ride a mountain bike. However, he did try a Bowhead which is an amazing bit of kit! One downside is the price…

So he is fund raising to try to buy a bowhead, if you would like to donate then great (and thank you), there is a video attached that explains his journey and his hopes

Unexpectedly, the video moved me. I normally just skim past them. This poor sod was struck down in the prime of life, but instead of withdrawing into his wheelchair he has got as far back to how he was (as he can) by a lot of determination. This is not a "poor me" video, rather it is an inspiration. I urge you to watch it. I hope to hell and back that I could find it within myself to respond the same way he did. He has £20,000 to raise and he is more than half way there. What I saw was where my own grandson could be if he's unlucky. That was a shaker! So I donated, first time for ages. :(

Attaching a direct link would help, I had to go find it.
See here (check for yourself though).

Sorry, I didn’t realise the link in the quote wouldn’t work.

Edit: it does work, I guess you didn’t read it… 😂
No I didn't even see it. it was below the line that said "click to expand". I just went straight to the video.
