Hi all

Dropping my wife to Edinburgh for a weekend away as major works on the railways. Rather than staying in the city (or the 3+ hr drive home) thought I might do an overnighter near Glentress and get to ride Saturday afternoon / Sunday morning. Looking for suggestions where to stay that will have secure storage and allow to me charge my bike. Lots of hotels / B&B available in the area but rather than contacting them to ask about eMTB, thought I'd ask here first.

Thanks in advance.

I've stayed here with friends before, perfect location, rooms were fine, ample storage and charging, bike wash etc etc

As a bonus the coffees, breakfast, lunch, dinner and beers were excellent too :-)

Thanks - I had seen this but unfortunately, minimum 2 night stay so looking elsewhere.

And to answer my own question, Craiguart B&B - less than a mile from Glentress, 5 from Innerleithan. Multiple rooms with twin / triple beds (singles), secure garage to lock up (with mains available), bike wash (albeit not high powered hose), maintenance stand and hosted by the lovely Pauline & Alasdair.

Everything was clean, showers were hot & plenty of water, excellent breakfast selection - all in all, what a good B&B should be. Would recommend and will go back.

Excellent place would highly recommend aswell the full Scottish breakfast wow!!!

whilst we're on the culinary side - the Scotch Pies in Forsyth's the butchers are Manna from heaven!

n.b. we stayed in Glentress forest lodges twice last year
they have pods -which look quite nice - a place to lock up and recharge bikes £2 a night,
a kitchen that mainly works, plenty of showers and toilets and a drying room that smells of vintage cheese
