Hi all

Whilst I use a backpack for days out, I do like to keep essentials on the bike as well. I have a Race Face stash that holds some basic tools but as I can't fit my under saddle CO2 holder, I am looking for an alternate. I have seem the Amflow frame bag that securely attaches to the underside of the top tube and doesn't look ridiculous.

Does anyone have one or seen one 'in the flesh' and would recommend (or not).

I’ve got it – it’s fine, but the zipper pulls are rubbish; they scratch the frame, so I took them off and attached some paracord

  • It's exceptionally high quality, perhaps even too high. I'd prefer something lighter, slimmer, and cheaper with fewer features.
  • The zippers are excellent and zip up into an impressive dirt/water resistant seam that is almost invisible. But yes, the dangly traditional metal zipper pull tabs are a miss, though easy enough to replace with string.
  • It's quite large and spacious, perhaps even too large. It doesn't really fit the medium frame without being smashed very hard against the shock. But if your bike is big enough it'll hold a tube, pump, all the tools you need, plus a beer and a sandwich, assuming your sandwich is triangular.
  • It doesn't exist. They discontinued it the day after they started producing it.
I sold mine and adapted a little camera battery bag instead. It's tiny, but it's just enough for a very small tube, pump, and minimal tools. There's also a 0.8L Rockbros bag to consider that is similar in size to the Amflow, but softer/lighter/cheaper/uglier.

Thanks - the fact that it was discontinued might explain why I can't find it anywhere ! I liked the idea of it as it attached securely to the frame and no straps to rub but as I have a medium frame, may not have fitted anyway. I swap between an Osprey Savu 5 waistpack & a Raptor 14 depending on the ride but just like the reassurance of having kit on the bike in case I forget something !

I do have a Topeak Nanomaster that fits under the saddle & holds 2 CO2 cartridges but it won't fit under the stock Amflo seat - might have to do a swap with my old Cube.
