I don't think this was posted yet here, hopefully someone will find this post useful:

There is a new frame by XMCarbonspeed, that was introduced at Eurobike 2024, called the CS-EF-01.
This is the first fat bike frame for Bafang's M5xx motors, allowing for lighter builds, than the M620 based frames.

As you can see, it boasts an impressive tire clearance, allowing for the biggest 27.5x4.5 tires (including the 27.5x4.5 Terrene Cake Eater), as well as all 26" tires available, including the Vee 2XL on a 90mm rim, if you can live with very little clearance.

How durable would this be? Ie given that it has that much travel would it handle some serious trails, jumps etc.I have a Lenz Fatillac that is very capable and have ridden downhill trails but it is alloy framed.Im just wondering if these carbon frames are up to hard riding? Cheers

I wish I could give you a definitive answer, but as you can tell, the feedback on that frame has been very limited so far. CarbonSpeed has a very good reputation in the Chinese carbon world, but given your other posts, I will not claim that it will not break under all circumstances.

But if I were to buy a new frame in 2026, I would almost certainly buy this one.

I can't see it on their website, the only result on Google is your original post.

Interesting, I contacted Peter to inquire if the frame is actually still being sold. It pretty much is the perfect fat bike frame, I guess. No need for these M620 brutes for me.

Sadly, no reply to my two emails regarding the status of this frame.

Anyone can feel free to send him an inquiry as well.
