Is there a way to do this with the fast charger? Worst case scenario I can go do loops in my neighborhood. I charged up my RE but then forgot the cable and didn't use it.

I just put mine in turbo and rode up and down the street.

Sometimes I use light bulbs to safely discharge a battery. If you don’t have the cable for the RE, you could discharge it with 12v bulbs in series. I assume that you do not have a random 36 v dc appliance to use, so something like 12 V, 55 W bulb would be 4.6 A at full brightness. Three in series handles 36 V and power would be 165 W total. Be careful to not go beyond the bms cutout.

What you just stick wires in the battery plug port?

I used these high output resistors to discharge my 14S LiPO's for my RC Helicopter.
They put off some heat! But I don't think I would do something like that on my eBike battery.

However, I only charge to 80% After my last ride it's sitting at about 59% which is pretty close to a storage charge. I'll generally ride twice on a charge and than charge it back up to 80%.
