belt repair on gen 3

Tonight im gonna put on the new belt... Im watching videos all over to get all the help i can get.
Alot of people use petroleum grease - but not everyone?! What is correct?

And then the second part... The belt tension is supposed to be 0.2Nm. I dont have a torque wrench that can make those small numbers... does everyone who rebuild have one of those or is there another way?

Will you use the original carbon belt repair kit from Brose? (16mm, reinforced)

If so, Brose official document specify petroleum grease on the belt. It will help with containing small carbon dust/particles over the lifetime of the belt that otherwise will get into the planetary gear reduction which will kill the motor. Replacing planetary gear is a complicated and costly task which in my opinion is not worth the effort. You'll pay as much as a remanufactured unit from Brose.

Note that latest iteration of Brose for Specialized (2.2) use another belt from factory than the one used in the repair kit. Don't know if that one had lubrication from the factory.
