My wife is 5’0” she says 5 foot perfect. Just wondering what the latest options are for extra small e-bikes. She has the first gen Levo SL in the S1, but I’d like to get her something full or fuller powered, and wonder if there are more options.

It only comes in four sizes though so that S1 is more of a small than an x small in reality. They have the height range on the this S1 as 5'2"-5'6" so might be too much for someone 5'.

My wife is 5’ too, we had a really hard time finding something for her and kind of gave up. She has a XS Yeti SB140, the old 27.5 model that fits her like a glove. We tried the S1 gen 3 Levo, bought her the S-Works frame with the intention of just swapping parts from her Yeti. The seat tube was way too high, even with her tiny dropper slammed she said she never felt comfortable on it.

We’re looking at buying something again, maybe towards the end of this year. I think we’re just going to go with a small but will make sure whatever we pick has a short seat tube with lots of stand over.

Giant does offer the Liv line that’s women specific but they’re underwhelming IMO.

These are available in XS.

Maybe a 400wh battery feels like a 600wh when you are 45-55kg?

I am not sure if it helps… my daughter is 4 foot 9 inches and 40 kg and I got her a small Merida E160, the slightly older model with the EP8 and 600w battery. She has done 1200 miles on it over the summer including lots of ascending and descending (very steep in both). She finds it really comfortable and despite it being a large percentage of her body weight, she can chuck it about and has never been as confident hitting gap jumps, even those than need a decent amount of pop. The dropper doesn’t have a huge amount of travel but she’s very happy with it and prefers the fit to her Canyon Neuron Young Hero, which on paper, is exactly her size. Maybe worth trying a few small sizes? Kids are much better than us at adapting to things, so maybe somewhat reduced dropper travel will be a deal breaker for an adult!

On a related note, because of her weight, she goes up hills like a rat up a drainpipe, there is no chance I can keep up with my Bosch gen 4, an Amflow with a heavier rider can almost keep up :)

Orbea Rise or Unno Mith or Megamo reason air have low stand over heights
