Amflow comes to USA July 11th

Setup as a mullet and got more pedal strikes than my Levo.
Did you flip the chip in shock suspension after putting the 27.5 on?

29 rear is not as nimble as a mullet for sure, but I loved the high speed stability this bike offers.

Tough decision, lot if tight corners here.

No, I was too excited and forgot to do that. My service manager asked the same question when I brought it in yesterday and we made the change. I need to go for another ride and test but it is 110 out.

THANK YOU Bike Barn!!!!! That is the valley where gold was discovered in Ca ;)

Yes, gold was discovered in California in 1848, specifically on January 24th, at Sutter's Mill, near Coloma. This discovery by James Marshall triggered the California Gold Rush, a massive migration of people seeking wealth.

Anyone know the shipping weight from amflow on one of these? I have a fedex package inbound and I'm not sure where its from and the weight may be an indicator but it shows 72.00 LB

ronhack is selling these for $6099 with the current discount code from the website header. I asked if this was inclusive of tariffs since it ships from china and they said yes:

The warranty info page also indicates this is true:

The price feels crazy, but they sell for $5000 USD on Alibaba and if you add the current 30% tariff, you get $6500 which is the sale price pre-discount code:

Math seems to be mathing, am I missing something? ronhack seems to be legit. Or would It be safer to buy from Amflow USA directly?

I thought I saw a post that said there would be warranty issues if purchased from non-approved Amflow Dealers. It would be worth confirming before dropping the cash

To anybody interested there are a number of shops in Cali here that are selling Amflow.
Just check their website and they list them.
Chainline bikes here in SD is one.
All bikes are ordered individually when purchased, nothing in stock in the shop.
Stopped by their shop yesterday to check them out and met the guys and they were very informative.
They did have one PL pro that they did some adjusting on the derailer that I could look at and put my hands on, it was a medium.
They even gave me keys to test ride around the building in the parking lot.
Currently riding an S4 Levo Gen 3 and the med was way too tight.
Looking at the specs I would probably go with an XL to keep the geo simular to what I’m riding now.
It does have some giddy up.
2-3 week lead time and coming out of LA warehouse somewhere.
Can even order online from their website.

I think for the lower spec version they want 7.5k

If and when I buy I will go through these guys, they seemed solid.
I would rather pay a few extra sheckles and have a shop close by for any issues.

Will probably wait and see what the near future holds, I hear an enduro version is soon to come.
Time will tell.

The "enduro" version will be the same frame with different parts like an upside down fork. Better buy the silver version and put your own parts on it at your like.
Amflow won't do another bike IMO

It was used purely to get the Avinox system out there and in front of as many people as possible. Hence all the youtubers with them.

It was used purely
No

The whole idea was to build a much lighter than average trail bike with insane power, since that is what most riders actually wanted and would buy. 99% of riders do not have the skill to punish an Enduro, and it would limit buyers. Amflow crushed it. And staying in front of the game will be the goal in future builds.

I agree with @Highland Wheels that "It was used purely to get the Avinox system out there and in front of as many people as possible".

DJI want to sell high profit margin proprietary motors, not low profit low added value generic parts which is what motorless eMTBs are.

My impression of the overall package is that somewhere out of the blue a company was able to show up without experience in the field / market and put together a product that hit all the right buttons "out of the gate" . Remarkable to say the least.

The new player highlighted_ just_ how_ stale_ some of the designs were that top companies with the most knowledge and experience were producing.

With that being said, it does present the business mode, use case, for a vertical monopoly. Avinox did achieve the goal in one fell swoop to some degree, imagine if they used the same approach for the components where there is definitely "Margins"

Other than the DJI motor I fail to see anything that is special/unique about "the overall package".

Its more affordable than most other, have great trail geo, has a good motor as you say and really good support (better than any other experience i have had).
I dont really see why it needs to be more special than that. Its a bike that just works.

I mean, it wasn't but whatever. I don't have the energy to try and have a conversation about anything you disagree with.

DJI want to sell high
Non sequitur. Amflow is selling bikes not DJI.
ow profit low added value generic parts
There was nothing generic about the best Fox suspension and Sram drivetrain components set up to a good geometry.

You guys are all butt hurt because the Amflow made such a nice bike, and you cant admit it that Amflow leaped out in front of every other manufacturer with a really nice trail bike.

These bikes literally haul ass on the trails. I suggest you ride more than post

Its a bike that just works.

Exactly. 100%

You can fly on the trails with this bike, faster than any other bike ever has before. When your ripping through a section and you literally know you are the first person to ever fly through that trail at that speed, it puts a big smile on your face.

My downhill times have improved dramatically on this bike over my Canyon on some segments. Some tight stuff you really need a mullet to fly faster. 27.5 is coming just to improve tighter trails.

Without question the motor is the highlight that lit things up. It is the universal and overwhelming positive response to the "package" that I am referring to. Is it the best and most "unique" bike for all riders / platforms NO. Is it an amazing comparative value YES.

Ultimately I guess where I was headed with the comments is that the sport is so compelling, that the price for the performance we seek goes beyond what many folks consider "value" . What makes the Avinox / Amflow "special" is that having in house control over more of the product eliminates "the middle man" which allowed for the "overall package" to be a "unique" value overall.

I mean, e-mountain biking is different things to different people, and whatever floats your boat and all that.

Not sure why you have to continually make your points in such a needlessly antagonistic way though, it makes you look a massive arse.

Not sure why
You cant take the joy of flying on a trail away from anyone. Thats my favorite aspect of riding but not my only one.

Health is a major reason I ride and fitness another.

needlessly antagonistic
Nothing antagonistic about stating how I put a smile on my face. It must really bother you that im genuinely happy, and happy with this bike.
