A few things have been replaced which I'll list later.

Nice, my LBS had a new Merida ?? HT Shimano e motor. felt light too.
I ride with a group that ride fast. I have a Specilized levo FSR. but a lot of the fast riders prefer HT.
how is the bike going?

One more for Merida here still waiting for stock to arrive though.

Hey, still don't have it ordered on 4 June and it's expected in the beginning of July. We'll post some pics when I get it. I will change the bike a bit, 29" wheel in the front (a la Canyon e-bikes), a canyon ebike specific saddle and a wider handlebar.

you will be excited!! hope you write a ride report on how it handles and feels.
my LBS has sold a few Merida E HT with Shimano motors said very good but they could not get a FSR as all sold out back ordered. the HT they had I took for a very short ride in car park, it was light & had quick steering, brakes worked good, I was going to ask for a ride on some dirt tracks with some good hill's but, did not get a chance & was sold. I'm sure you will enjoy!!

Welcome home ! Just picked this up a few hours ago from a LBS. Got a sweet deal and bought the ABUS Bordo 6000 Alarm to protect it. Matching Azonic pedals to top it off. So far so good around town, but tomorrow will surely be fun as I'll be taking it around the local woods.

Hi, this is my eone sixty 900.
Anyone know rear shock length and stroke?
Want to change rear shock to coil but don't know size ;(
and merida must use 'trunnion' mount shock?

Mines the same. Very happy with it. Just changed the pedals to DMR Vaults, May need shorter cranks.
What changes have you made?

I have the cheaper 800 version and have spent about £1500 on upgrades.first a second battery, a must due to the short ranges on the shimano motors, around 15 miles and 3500 feet climbing.
second set of wheels, hope 35w rims on hope hubs.
Charger 2 damper and 180mm air shaft.
2 more gnar dog spacers in shock.
reverb dropper with thumb lever.
Zee 4 pot front disc and ice tech pads on both ends, 200 mm rear disc.
Renthal bars.
Chain guide.
Magic mary 2.8 tyres and vittoria inserts.
Pedals, grips and so on.

What mode are you using to only get 15 miles and 3500ft?would have thought you would get around 20 miles and maybe a bit more with that elevation

Nearly always stay in trail, although I have now upped it to high, still had the same prob in low and medium, it's a well known issue with steps 8000 motor.
My rider weight is only 11 stone.

Thats surprises me, I weigh 13 stone, excluding kit, and would expect to get 20 miles out of the battery on my Vitus on that kind of ride, though i only put in trail when needed, and boost only if its something crazy. We did a forum ride the other day, first set of data below, and my battery hit 1 bar just as i got back to the car park, probably rode 40% eco, 50% trail (set in high mode) and 10% boost.

The second ride i did yesterday totally in boost, as a quick local blast, and it only went down to 4 bars just before the end, but not much elevation.

Third ride done fully in trail until computer said no, battery basically dead by the end, locked into eco for last mile.

Battery has probably had about 50 charges or so. Using Eco where possible does make quite a difference.

I'm 18 stone in my birthday suit and got 20 miles and 3k feet of climbing out of my Bosch last weekend. That was all eMTB mode.


I got 18 miles in Boost a couple of weeks ago too...

Sounds about right for the Bosch unit. You can get nearly double on that.

How many charges has your battery had?

The original battery is at 20 charges and the spare is around 8.

Cant help but feel something isn't right there, unless your 15 miles/3500ft is majority uphill, with long continuous stretches?

When we where out last weekend, all on either Shimano or Specialized, everyones battery was in a pretty similar state of charge by the end of the ride. The guy with the most battery left was Ryder on a Focus Jam2, with the smaller 380 battery, he rode mostly in Eco and still had 2 bars left

It's more about the elevation than distance from my experience. It's a known issue with Shimano. Great motors though, when they work. 3 of my friends have the same bike and get the same range and 1 gets about 11 miles on trail, but he is 20 stone.

Forgot to say that a lot of runs are long ascents, mostly enduro.

Interesting to hear, i have only heard it mentioned once before, with someone with another Vitus like mine who was getting bad range on all rides, and i think he got a replacement battery from Shimano, but cant say that i or anyone i know with a shimano motor have experienced the same issue. When you got the bike did you follow the initial charge protocol and fully charge it until the transformer powers down? And what does the E-TUbe app say when you do a health check? Although i have done a lot more charge cycles that you it worries me that my range might drop off a cliff!

Your range values surprise me. I did 4 test runs so far with demo bikes (scott e-spark and e-genius) with shimano motor and 504wh batteries, I was never worried about keeping it in eco, used trail and boost at will and a lot, and never had less than 40kms and around 800m climb before it reached the red bar. One time I even got to 45km distance. All on mountain trails, a lot of uphill and a lot of descents, and I am a heavy guy going at 95kgs with gear.

It's the 800m climb that is the significant number there and sounds about right.

Ok, I think you are right.

This was of course in the speed and company of a group of non e-bikers, so I'm thinking that for a hardcore one full morning of hard enduro with a group of e-riders maybe the 504wh battery is not enough... unless we use a LOTTTTTTTTT of OFF and a LOTTTT of ECO... or... carry a second battery and have a full blown eMTB 5 hours of hard enduro riding.

Still waiting for my Merida though

In a single climb or in total over the whole ride?

If in a single climb then yes, your range sounds about right. If that’s over the whole ride you need to check your battery health and riding style. If your grinding up the climbs in a high gear at low cadence you’ll use more battery than a f you spin up in a lower gear.

Total over the whole ride, we usually do between 800m and 900m total climbing in a morning when it's around my local trails (Lisbon, Monsanto woods).
