Ive not got one but i think a consideration should be how high the seat stays are and how in relation to them it will fit on.
I mean in many of the pics ive seen of them fitted the rear triangle chain/seat stays are quite close together and low down. On the Scott's the rear triangle is quite wide.
Hard to find an actual pic of one fitted to a Scott, to see how well it sits on the frame and how far the tail of it extends out the back.

I have a Genius & a Spark. Both fs & 29ers. The Mudhuggers are a perfect fit 🤙

I'm not aware of the Velcro strip. Mine are held in place with cable ties.
Yes, make sure you use the frame protection. Debri works between the contact points & acts like sand paper. You'll soon find your paint has rubbed away 😢
