Completed the Palace to Palace ride yesterday for charity. Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle. 45 miles in 3h 37mins. Still 3 lights showing on the controller. I’m 71 in January. Did it together with my son on his clockwork bike, he couldn’t keep up on some of the steep hills ?
70 and 10 months. Always had a bike, but last few years I have struggled with the hills. Bought my Fathom E+2 Pro six months ago, ride it nearly every day. Doing the Palace to Palace on Sunday. 45 miles which I could never manage now on a clockwork bike.
I have had my Giant Fathom E+2Pro with Yamaha motor for six months. I ride trails and tow paths, mainly flat. I’ve turned the Eco mode down to 75% and get 80 miles before it gets down to one light on the control.
My Giant Fathom E+2 Pro came with Maxxis Forecasters, and after 6 months decided to fit tyres more suited to the tow paths, bridle ways and tracks that I frequent. Today fitted some tubeless Maxxis Pace, faster and really quiet.
I am really only using the top three gears on my Fathom E+2 Pro so thought I might replace the 36t chain ring with a 38t. My lbs said that they had been asked before however Giant said that it wouldn’t suit the set up of the motor. Has anyone ignored this advice and tried this modification.
Just bought a new Giant Fathom E+2. I have never bothered to insure any of my previous bikes, however the bike has a very bright colour scheme and will stand out against other bikes in a storage rack so I’m going to insure this one. Any recommendations on a good company please?
Great that your bike shop sorted it out for you. Have you decided what road biased tyres you are going to fit ? I’m doing a charity ride shortly on my Fathom +2 Pro and it’s all on roads so looking to acquire some more appropriate tyres.
