I did the same thing, MTX Reds on front only and for sure they are less grabby then the stock SRAM metals. If you want to go with MTX make sure to bed them in per MTX instructions. A proper bed-in really helps with brake performance.

Like to hear if the modulation is improved over the hard bite point. I changed out the pads on the front with some MTX ceramic/resin pads and that helps a bit. Sintered metal bite and are noisy.

Now that I can remember I noticed a kind of grinding noise as well when I did my 1st ride with the FW update. It didn't last as long as that FB video. Just for about a second or 2. I will test it again later on.

I got the email and did the FW update yesterday. It appears they're sending out to a lot more folks. Planning on testing it tomorrow. Plan on filling out the survey as well which I hope all that got the update will do. Give Spesh our feedback hopefully they will listen.
If you can't get any help with it you could contact Fox for a stanchion replacement. I had to do that with my Fox 36 a couple years ago and it cost around $300 usd. Sent the fork to them.
