I used 1 thicker spacer then the spider. my bike kit is also from greenbikekit. for the motor plastic cover i ended up using small silver torx screws which look like some you might use at the handlebar clamp

I am only paraphrasing but i believe some aftermarket batteries dont respond to the on/off switch near the key hole. I think it may have to do with the extra contacts in the battery mount. I've also heard the switches will fail a lot.
