    mullet Meta!

With my ‘regular’ Meta I went with a 160 Lyrik I found on bikemart. It will give ~30mm more stack height than 27,5/170 and I’ll compensate it with upside down stem and a lower rise handlebar. I bought a DT Swiss EX 511 rim and just lace it to the existing hub.

    mullet Meta!

I know it’s an old thread and you might not have the Meta anymore but what travel of 29 fork did you use? I’m running my 2018 Meta 27 with 170 fork and trying to decide if 150 or 160 29er fork should I go with.

2 months old and outdated already

I have an ancient 2018 Commencal Meta Power with external battery. Great geo, great components and it's the same feeling to ride it today as it was in 2018. I still don't feel the need to upgrade it. I tried plenty of other bikes and they were not any better for me. Just enjoy what you have...

    Levo Gen 2 Specialized-Bashing -- Give-it-a-Break

I'm not a current Specialized owner and the brand is pretty much irrelevant to me but I think the bashing is a mix of things. Specialized's marketing is/can be annoying AF and many times full of BS not just about the Levo/Kenevo but in general. Everything they do is the best thing after a slice...

Anyone regretted switching to an emtb?

No regrets. Since I have my ebike I appreciate riding my regular bikes more. It has its place but @53 (and healthy) I just enjoy riding my regular trail bike and gravel bike more. No worries about range on longer rides, less things to think about, more freedom. I still like my ebike but it took...

    New Spectral On

That’s incorrect Trail mode is dynamic.

    New Spectral On

Yeah, we all have our preferences... I just never experienced the ‘lag’ with E8000. Trail mode is also dynamic in Shimano systems and the customization doesn’t require a display upgrade, you can do it on all of their models.

    New Spectral On

Hmm... I'm not a Chris Akrigg but I never had an issue with E8000 lag on technical climbs and I'm riding it for two years. I don't even use Boost mode because I find it too instant I don't like the motor overrun but it's smooth and perfectly controllable in Trail mode. Also, the gen 4 has a 24T...

    Fox 34 rhythms flex?

I couldn’t live with the Fox 34 even on my trail bike. From the terrible flex on rough downhills it couldn’t move up and down properly it was like riding with a broomstick. My Meta Power has a Lyrik which is solid so I upgraded the trail bike with a Pike and it’s a different beast...

    Rumors of 15kg 150mm e-bike?

    Common rider inflicted motor failures

Yeah, that's business... bikes need service regardless where someone bought them from.

    Husqvarna.....just jizzed mesen...

I understand your preferences although the limited time I rode the Bosch 4 I didn't notice any overall power difference compared to the E8000. One thing I didn't like was the ratchet in the motor compared to the instant engagement of the Shimano. Weight of the motors are the same and their shape...

    Common rider inflicted motor failures

I'm trying to understand this but I can't... Service is service and I think nobody's expecting it for free. What difference does it make if the same Fox/RS fork, Shimano/SRAM drivetrain, brakes etc. that needs to be serviced is on a Specialized or on a YT (or whatever else)?

    Husqvarna.....just jizzed mesen...

Do you prefer the clacking noise of the Bosch? :)
