My 6th Motor xxxx-20020923-xxxx (1600km) on my Kenevo (13k km total) sounds like yours. So the five before were silent but broke around (1k to 2k km) Belt, Water. I lost confidence as my Kenevo (Motor) spends too much time at the LBS.

Agree, but you need a gooood LBS and LBS need to rethink there service since more bike company are selling online and the bike company’s will need to setup service lines contracts.

Sounds like the Belt is broken. If SCS Ruislip is your LBS you need to drop it there, so they can do a Warranty claim. But if your lucky they have one spare motor.

Here some info for the statistics from my side as I'm running Motor #4 and SRC told me that the last one it is a 2.2 in a 2.1 plastic Kenevo case. :-)

Last winter I had some water/snow problems, but it would not turn on. Here my
- putting the TUC in rice (work with an iPhone)
- take off the motor case where the power connector is
- use my wife hairdryer
This worked one or two times.
But at the end LBS had to replace the motor back to battery...
