I rode my bike and e-bike a combined 3x over the course of last weekend. Sunday night in the hot tub my legs locked up so badly I couldn't move, and my kid had to run inside, grab me some salt tabs, and feed me like I was an Orca at Seaworld.
You can certainly get exercise while on an e-bike.
This pretty much jives with the reviews I've seen of the MGU. Loud, clunky, inefficient.
I do think it's the future of full power ebikes, but not the immediate future.

That said, it's not as light as some other's because it's built robust, has the geo it has, a bash guard, a removable battery, huge dropper, etc. All of these things add weight.
