I asked in the shop on Monday about this as I am going to get an Expert and I was told a resounding no. Specialized want to give S-Works customers something more for their money rather than just some nicer bits and fancy paint.
I keep mine up to date and there’s never been a big difference after updating the firmware. It does feel noticeably smoother with the latest motor firmware on it though. I haven’t changed the settings but it’s feels smoother and more natural.

I have got one and it’s nice little bit of kit. It’s more expensive than an Allen key but it’s nice to use. Used it on Kenevo SL’s and Levo’s and it’s great.
