    Haibike build quality

Great thread! I actually just yesterday dropped my 2017 FullNine off at the LBS with a slipping motor. About six months into ownership, my Yamaha motor started “pinging” when I would crank on it hard. I took it in and haibike replaced the motor under warranty. The new motor is now exhibiting...

    Yamaha motor overhaul Video

Thank you for the video! My haibike is in the shop now getting a new motor. I’m hopeful that someday parts will be readily available for end users so I can tear it down myself.

    Shorter Crank Arms

I have an sduro fullnine 6.5 and I seem to have more pedal strikes than I expected, but I'm also about 30 lbs heavier than I expected... I experience strikes mostly when the rear suspension is compressed. Can you engage lockout and see if that makes a difference?

The best eMTB disc brake you can buy

I replaced the resin pads on my XT with J04C metallic pads on the rear only (the originals were contaminated with oil) and it seems like the metallic pads stood up better with less fade from some extended downhill action. Anecdotal for certain, but I'd like to think the cooling fins do something...

    Cold Weather Gear

I'm curious about cold weather gear: What are some recommendations for pants, jackets, gloves, etc? I am a large person with a pretty large midsection, so I am looking for gear that fits big and tall people well. I'm 6'1", 240lbs (108kg) and about 40" around the belly. I also have long legs and...

    E bike insurance

USAA will cover it under homeowners. I tried to apply for a personal property schedule to cover my Haibike, but the agent said it's covered under homeowners, even if I'm out and about and it's stolen.

    Which knee pads?

So I took a small digger yesterday on the trail and now I’m looking at knee protection. My measly scrape could have been much worse if it was my knee and not my lower leg that hit the granite. I was looking at the POC VPD 2.0 and the G-Form Pro-X. Any experience with these? Or recommendations...

    What flat pedals?

Although I'm new to emtb and trail riding, my experience on Chesters is the same. I love mine.

    Yamaha PW Upgraded Chainring

Got the bike back. The chainring was not damaged enough to warrant replacement, however the motor mounts were discovered to be loose and slopping. The tech removed and retorqued the bolts. A quick test ride and everything felt firm again, so I think the next step is taking it to the trails and...

    Yamaha PW Upgraded Chainring

Thanks for the notes! I think the problem initiated when I did change gears (up) in the rear under a moderate load- the rear XT derailleur was in the “off” position and I think that caused the chain to misalign to the point where I slipped the chain off the chainring. Since then it’s been acting...

New member, Haibike Sduro FullNine 6.5

Hello, world! I'm Steve, from Denver, Colorado, USA. I've always enjoyed adventure and riding, but lost my way and gave up riding, beginning about 8 years ago. This year, I purchased a Haibike Sduro FullNine 6.5, and I'm quite happy with it. I was in love for the first 30-60 days, but after a...

Are riders weight vs bigger travel bike a must?

For my limited experience on my Haibike Sduro, I have noticed that I frequently bottom out the 110mm suspension. An extra 4cm would be useful in a lot of situations. I will also note that the rear end does at times seem a bit loose. More noticeable on hard pavement and less so on technical...

    Yamaha PW Upgraded Chainring

In my first few months of ownership of my 2017 Sduro FullNine 6.5, I have managed to break a couple of teeth on the front crankset, especially the large chainring. I am going to take the bike back to my dealer to get a full tune up, brake bleed, and have the chainrings replaced, but I'm hesitant...
