    EMTB prices are plummeting.

The Merida's are brilliant bikes, we still have two, my daughters and my wife's and they have given us an immense amount of pleasure. They are the much older version with the EP800, get used a lot and still going strong. I frequently jump on my wife's bike and it is every bit as much fun as my...

Bosch gen 5 charger socket cover.

I have a new Cube One77 with the Gen 5 and that awful port cover with a tiny magnet that really doesn’t seal anything. However, a thin slice of an old inner tube works perfectly; takes a second to pop on, seals brilliantly and looks like it’s meant to be there. :)

    Arm pump/hand fatigue help?

Although I’m a fan, conditioning is arguably not going to help massively here, at least not initially. If you do go down that route, have an in-depth assessment with a good sports / MSK clinician so you can put together a proper plan that includes consideration of riding and recovery. Likely...

    Scared about reliability

Or buy a cheaper used bike and buy a spare motor to keep in your bike shed :) A few of our bikes are on the old EP800 motor, when I bought them used I factored in the price of a couple of new motors when they, according to the world, inevitably died. Still going strong several thousand miles...

Article Video: Teewing Flux 180mm, high-pivot, Avinox EMTB first look and ride

Thats good, anything that helps build skills! She uses speed a lot less than most people, she's mega chilled, I follow her into jumps a lot, she can go slower than me on big gaps and I generally hit jumps pretty slowly, I get a bit nervous at times, even on my Tyee. Maybe the big travel and her...

Article Video: Teewing Flux 180mm, high-pivot, Avinox EMTB first look and ride

I suspect we all have somewhat different perspectives. Friends love theirs, but the lightness of the Amflow didn’t feel like it had those same advantages for me, and didn’t match the feel of my Tyee, which is brilliant at doing stuff like a manual off a decent size drop from near standstill for...

    Wife first emtb suggestions

I would go the opposite way to some and say that heavy and full power worked for my wife. She likes cycling but was always quite tentative, cautious and not really comfortable on even vaguely (very gently!) adventurous trails. Heavy, 160/150 ebike and she feels a lot more stable and comfortable...

    Extra small e-bikes

I am not sure if it helps… my daughter is 4 foot 9 inches and 40 kg and I got her a small Merida E160, the slightly older model with the EP8 and 600w battery. She has done 1200 miles on it over the summer including lots of ascending and descending (very steep in both). She finds it really...

    Lapierre thought?

Ahhhh hopefully it should be really straightforward then! And big yes to putting it in via the valve :)

    Lapierre thought?

On the note of tubeless, I’ve set up countless tyres and I don’t remember having a new tyre and rim I couldn’t get to seal. The front was almost that tyre, I only just managed it with an air blaster pump whilst furiously pumping and swearing. It might be that I always use narrower tape, I did...

    Lapierre thought?

Hi all, I landed on this page after a Google search about the Overvolt 6.7 so thought I should join! This is my first eMTB, bought from Paul’s, and it will complement my Propain Tyee. A week in and it really is an outstanding bike and bizarrely good at jumping! If anyone is thinking about...
