    My Rohloff/belt conversion

Ok I’ll get in touch via your address. If you’re buying a new bike, would it be better with the M1? They use the TQ controls I believe so you should get the e-shifter capability which will mean you could go with the Rohloff e-shift. Haibike went with their own design of display/controls which...

    My Rohloff/belt conversion

Hi Roy. Ok 1. Spider. I designed and made this. I can send you the cad file or get my man to make you one. 2. Same answer as 1. Above. 3. The Flyon doesn’t use a gear shift sensor. I used the standard Rohloff twin cable. 4. I used Ghyllside Cycles in Ambleside UK. They are a Rohloff...

    Flyon motor internals

I got nowhere unfortunately. Neither the company that manufactures the crank assy or TQ we’re willing to help. A bit of a disappointment really. I’ve always found German companies extremely helpful. I did consider just sending anyway and see what comes back. Good to see TQ have come out with a...

    My Rohloff/belt conversion

So just in case anyone is interested, a medium term update on this project. It's all working perfectly with no fails or issues so far. Averaging three to four hours a week so not a huge amount but enough. I'm now used to the Rohlof and how it works/shifting etc. It's lovely, it's crisp and the...

DT ratchet teeth 54T vs 36T vs stock 18T for ebike

If you don’t mind the noise. Kind of thought it was cool to begin with but it’s just annoying now.

    Haibike Flyon - Button problems

Whilst on the subject of fragile parts, the speed sensor disk is a bit flimsy. After a couple of years it can get rusty on the back side and bend easily throwing up an error. Good to keep a spare in stock.

    Haibike Flyon - Button problems

You can get them open. There is a small pcb inside so there is a chance, if you’re good with a soldering iron, you might be able to repair it. ? They split along this joint.

    Haibike Flyon - Button problems

I take it you’ve tried all the uk dealerships? They are the one weak point on the bike. I’ve been through 4 on two bikes. I always keep a spare in stock. If I can get one from my usual source I’ll happily let you have one. PM me.

    My Rohloff/belt conversion

Ooh 😮. I gave up counting the cost of projects years ago. Obvs there was a bit of mission-creep on this one. I think the Gates stuff, belt , front sprocket and two rear sprockets came to about £350. The bill for the hub, rim, wheel build, various Rohloff bits and bobs, twist grip etc came to...

Oooh. Can I have the crank out of it? Cooperte shouldn’t need that bit. It’s a simple remove from the pcb end.

Anybody got any info on the TQ motor insides?

Yes I’ve got a spare that I stripped out of interest. I did post some pic here. Have a search through this section of the forum. My guess is it’s one of two sprag clutches. It would make sense to me when you study the internals and get your head around how it works. That said, I don’t think...
