Kenevo SL Official 2022 Kenevo SL (KSL) Megathread!

For those who have gone the mullet route, did you do any other changes to tweak the geometry? Playing around with the numbers, it seem like if I went to a 180mm fork, high bottom bracket and middle headtube angle, the BB height and head tube angle would be similar to the stock geo with 29er...

Kenevo SL Official 2022 Kenevo SL (KSL) Megathread!

Proud owner of a new KSL expert, and got my first ride in yesterday. Overall quite pleased with it. Having no idea what to expect from the battery, I spent a lot of time in eco mode. After 22 miles and 4500 ft vert (35km/1370m), still had 42% of battery remaining. So I put it in turbo mode for...

new lightweight ebike from transition - the relay

I followed the same path. I demoed and loved the KSL, but really wanted to wait for the Relay. But when I saw a black Friday sale for 3k off the KSL ($8k for the expert build) and realizing that I’d likely spend 12 to 14k for a similarly specced Relay, I couldn’t resist. And my LBS had it in...

Kenevo SL Official 2022 Kenevo SL (KSL) Megathread!

Is it possible to ride with out the battery and using range extenders. I’m thinking about traveling/flying issues, but also would be cool to ride it as a bio-bike sometimes. Does the battery provide structural integrity or would this leave a gaping hole in the frame near the bottom bracket?

    New E-Curious rider

You might also want to check out the Specialized experience center in Santa Cruz. It has SL and FF available to demo and is very close to Wilder Ranch (and the, ahem, fun trails next to Wilder Ranch).

Lol, of course, how could I forget the bragging rights!? I can't find the post now, but I assume you're the one who put on the Knolly stickers. Really loved that! I might have to do something similar when I get one.

Kenevo SL Official 2022 Kenevo SL (KSL) Megathread!

Is there any difference between the frames for the S-Works, Expert, and Comp Kenevo? With the SW frameset costing $8.5k and the Comp whole bike costing $9k, it seems like there must be something better about the SW frame beyond the shock (about $200 delta between the X2 and Float X performance)...

The State of eMTB in USA

Oh, I'm definitely familiar with M. Vand. . . no wait, that's too obvious. We'll just call him Mike V. Legendary whackadoodle. I haven't read any of his rants lately. Does he have any ebike specific hatred, or just for MTBs in general?

The State of eMTB in USA

This post seems a little sensationalistic to me. I'm in the Bay Area and I see tons of eMTBs on the trails. Subjectively seems like nearly half the bikes I come across now, though I haven't tracked it. I think the issue is that the bay area is anti-MTB, not just eMTB, and any fun trails are...

Happy to be here and a question for the vets

Nice, your buddy sounds like a good dude! "It’s more like a enduro bike that happens to be really easy to ride up hills." <-- That's exactly what I'm wanting. Love the idea of the range extenders in the car. That hadn't occurred to me, but my favorite trails are setup to do laps passing by the...

Happy to be here and a question for the vets

Hi all, I'm passionate about mountain biking and ride whenever I can find the time. I'm slowly coming around to the idea of ebikes. I wouldn't say I've been "anti-ebike" like some folks are, but I have been skeptical of them and admit to feeling a hint of smugness riding my "real" MTB alongside...
