True, I’ve actually never thought of it that way, always seen it as a more of a nuisance as I don’t actually carry that much in it at times

I agree, depending on your budget but even the Trek Powerfly is decent, it was my first Emtb and I really wish I had kept it over my Scott. I actually did by another newer Powerly5 in Spain as a second bike and can't see by Trek. I was suckered in by a biker battery hence the Scott.

That explains it, thankfully found this thread.

I now have a Scott patron, had it for over a year and despite it being a decent bike its not as good as my previous and more basic Trek I had before. The frame and paint work are no where near the same quality.
