That is incorrect. For 29 you are supposed to change the rear dropout position which results in a longer chain stay.

Interesting project, but even the build at 32 lbs is somewhat impractical. Fasttrak would die in about 30 seconds and 2 piston brakes would be smoked after 1 run. Bike would be amazing at 34-35 lbs though with real tires and brakes. BTW, his planned changes from a geo perspective won't work...

Did another ride today on the SL/G2 after tuning the motor which changed my views somewhat. Ride was 19.5 miles/3.1K of elevation. I finished with 41% battery remaining. I swapped my settings to Eco 30/35, Trail 50/80 and Turbo 80/100. Did 99% of the ride today in Eco and it felt much more...

What is the frameset only cost? Haven't seen the option here in the US yet. I did pickup a new SL Comp today. Still have my Fuel EXe as well so will spend some time riding them back to back before I sell the EXe.

Since I don't wear a pack the extra standard battery is a non starter for me. I wear bibs and can easily carry my water bottle on my back though.

Congrats on getting your extender! My ride on Sunday was much better from a battery perspective. I am fairly strong pedaling so I think if I run Eco most of the time and then Trail/Turbo when necessary I would be fine with just the internal. My ride on Friday was with a friend on a Turbo Levo...
