It doesn't look different enough from the old one to make me want to buy one.
The cables now entering the through the frame rather than the headset is obviously a bonus but the KIS system looks like a gimmick that I'd probably disconnect.
I think I'll keep riding my old one until it breaks.
Yeah, stock jockey wheels.
They were originally GX but I upgraded to X0 when they wore down, they don't seem any different.
Slightly off topic but I was a little bit unsure of whether or not to invest in a Transmission groupset but I'm glad I did.
It's been absolutely flawless for the last two...
I've had the Ratio SR52T cage for around 18 months.
I'm not sure if it's that much better than the SRAM original but it's holding up well to a lot of abuse including getting caught in the spokes when my rear axle came loose.
With the more rounded design it seems to glance off rocks better and...
I'm fairly certain that those are self extracting but you know for certain when you turn the 8mm hex a good few turns anticlockwise.
If the crank comes off, all good.
If the centre bolt comes out and the crank stays attached you'll need a crank extraction tool like this...
Hello MJO
The cranks have been really good so far. They've taken a few hits but are both still straight and look almost new.
You don't need any special tools, just an 8mm hex to install and remove as they're self extracting.
You probably don't need a torque wrench you can just get them nice...
I'm not going up by that much, increase of around 3 psi with the Gravity Pros.
Front- Magic Mary Gravity Pro Ultra Soft 29 - 22psi
Rear - Magic Mary Gravity Pro Soft 27.5 - 25 psi
The 26mm offset will definitely work, the 21mm offset might not work.
I replaced with E*13 Helix Race e-spec Cranks 26.5mm offset and they work well.
I haven't tried anything less than that.
Maybe you can share the full story after you've received the new frame? 😉
Anyway, it's good to hear that Canyon are looking after you, I hope you're back out there soon!
Hello,
I wouldn't, sorry it was a typo.
I'd definitely go for the Tech 4 / V4 and have got those on my Strive:On.
I've got Tech 3 on the manual bike. They're ok but the Tech 4 levers are much smoother with more modulation.
