Although I didn't install my brakes, it looks pretty simple. Front triangle is completely guided. To make it a breeze, you can cut the old hose right before the rear caliper and attach the new hose directly to the old hose. Pull through from there. Pretty sure you could figure it by completely...
My bike finally arrived and I have been able to get out a couple of times on it already. Such a fun bike. Loving how poppy and flickable it is - noticeable upgrade from the Transition relay in that regard.
I had a matte ride wrap kit laying around from when I first ordered the bike last fall...
Another update on my order: medium, GX AXS, magenta
Original shipping ETA was the beginning of May. Just received an update from my LBS that the ship date has been moved back to middle of July. Horrible news.
However, the S build is in stock and ready to ship. Decided to roll with an S...
The range extender port on the relay and the heckler sl (maybe all fazua 60 systems) is located below the water bottle cage. There is a rubber plug there on both bikes. Transition has a spare part for it labeled as "relay range extender plug"...
Great looking bike! Hoping that I get some positive news about mine delivering at the end of the week.
As far as the motor goes, I was previously on a transition relay. The motor was never "silent" but it was substantially quieter than my GFs specialized levo. I did notice the fazua motor...
50 miles down on the bike. Really love the way that it rides. Unfortunately, every time I hit a bump or consecutive bumps, it sounds like it is going to fall apart. Sounds like the motor is loose and bouncing around. Haven't tested it without the battery, but I don't get the impression that it...
You are exactly right. I swung the bike by the transition booth in whistler and they confirms that it is a known issue with the trace hub. Apparently the weather seal works itself out and causes friction. He confirmed it is a warranty issue and race face will warranty it.
So when I am coasting, the chain is still slightly engaging and moving forward, causing the sound in the motor like pedaling backwards. Doesn’t seem like that is normal?
Mine makes that sound whenever I am coasting - that’s when I noticed it. Similar to a rear hub, pedaling backwards and coasting downhill are the same things. What kind of sicko pedals backwards when going downhill lol?
Not sure this link will work for the video. But coasting and spinning the crank backwards makes this pawl-esque noise. You can see that the chain is not moving, so no way it is the hub.
My medium GX AXS finally made it! Just finished my first ride on it and liked it a lot. Some details/thoughts:
Weight: 44lbs with battery, 39lbs without
Ride details: 11.5miles, 1433ft of vert
Modes used: 3/4 of ride was in the breeze setting (green). 1/4 of the ride in river (blue). Used...
Sorry sorry, I am a big easter egg person. Looks like transition updated the spec sheet for the GX AXS. The chainring now claims "Transition Bash Spider SRAM 32t Alloy E Ring (T-Type)". Likely confirming the t type GX AXS rumors.
Could be the reason but I do have limited intel that a new GX AXS is dropping and that the Relay is intended to be equipped with the new version, not the current "old" GX AXS. So until the updated stuff is released, the GX AXS relay cannot ship. That is all I know. Wish I knew when the updated...
