I own an Levo Sl and could not be happier. It‘s definetely different from a full fat but for me the downhill performance is the most Important thing. I tested full powered and I didn‘t like them - they felt like tanks to me. The Sl is nimble and is very close to my regular Enduro bike. Obviously...
As an SL - owner who still uses a normal MTb in bikeparks I am definetely not happy about this power race. With 1000 W you still try to pretend to be a Mountainbiker ( with assistance though) ? Are people who still call themselves bikers not happy with 85 NM which is still a huge help uphill...
Haha - don‘t remind me. Bought my Levo Sl in April last year and it was discounted in Q4 by 25%. But you have the same problem - you want to have it and you want it now 😀
A bit more crowded but very nice area - Ötztal in Tirol, Austria. Lots of flowtrails in Sölden and a brilliant hiking area in the villages Obergurgl and Vent not far away.
These were exactly my thoughts when I read the article about the weight of the worldcup downhill bikes. There seems to be a sweet spot concerning the weight of a bike for downhills.
I agree to a certain extend. For me that is roughly around 20 kg with the weight down low. A full fat with 25 kg felt like a tank to me - didn‘t like it. Maybe because the big battery in the downtube is not the place where you want to have the weight - the bulk of the weight should be in the BB...
Happy Levo Sl owner here. I definitely prefer an e-bike that is close to my normal Enduro bike - don‘t like the tanklike feeling of a fullpowered EMTb on the downhills. I also like the modular approach - fixed Akku and range extender if needed.
