Crestline x DJI - RS 181 SPECTRE Edition

I heard Troydon say about the mold cost, I was surprised too.

Anyone in Tasmania here with a bosch 600 or 800 I can borrow?

Tas is great riding for sure, well it was till it wasn't. Here's 2 notable pictures from the event. I'd sell that battery for 900. If it doesn't sell, I'm just going to make a point of going back 🤷

Hey mate, I ended up buying one but it was mad expeny! Was 1900 nzd 🫠 It's currently in Melbourne, for sale coincidentally. Gen 5 was too new to find any for hire!

Crestline x DJI - RS 181 SPECTRE Edition

The DH frames were made from proto molds, I'm not sure of the others, but I wonder if the volume being produced from them means it's unlikely. At a 100k a mold, I'd be wanting to save too! A mold being out of spec causes misalignment, not necessarily a weaker frame. There's definitely...

Crestline RS 181.2 thread – builds, reviews, technical info

Question for all the people who ordered sans battery, did battery mounts come with the frame? Or can you bolt direct to the avinox battery?

Can these run a 32t chainring? I run a 45-9 cassette, I miss the 51t on steep climbs in eco or off if that makes sense. Yes and don't worry, I know how turbo works. I often pedal with others on normal bikes 🙂

That's interesting that those rims are easy to fit a conti. They must have a generous and nice shaped rim well. My wr1 convergence are a real bitch 😅

    Ochain issues on e-bikes

I've had mine for a long time on my Gen 5. No problems. I did a full rebuild the other day. Probably didn't even need it to be fair, the rubber stops were still pretty mint. I'd happily recommend them. Loctite those faceplate bolts! I would say bolt check them, but I never did 😬 but I did...

Ideal EMTB drive train (shifting, not motor)

I'm kinda surprised no one has reverse engineered or decoded transmission to make it move differently to allow for different gear spacing ie shimano or 11 speed or others

Ideal EMTB drive train (shifting, not motor)

Sure that's the crowd it's marketed towards, but I've never once thought: man it sucks to have all these gears. And you have to remember di2 is lightning fast to change so it doesn't matter anyway. Transmission would be an absolute dog (it is anyway). For me with a mullet bike, I'd do whatever...

Ideal EMTB drive train (shifting, not motor)

Shimano xt 10-45 12spd cassette, medium cage xtr di2 derailleur, xtr HG Chain 👌 I'm using the 9-45 xtr cassette atm, but I just don't know about durability it's not actually ebike recommended. Shifts are so crisp though! I've put it through it's paces under pretty high loading and it's still...

Re front hubs on USD forks. Yes apparently they do make a difference. Chris King and i9 hydra are both recommended for their flange interface, Darren from push said somewhere about it.

Yeah bro, I'm super pumped about it. We ride all those places! I really like the multi day race things. You get to cover a heap of ground, you might not otherwise have.

Anyone in Tasmania here with a bosch 600 or 800 I can borrow?

Yeah I've reached out to that place. They don't specifically list the latest Gen bosch battery, but I am ever hopeful. The battery rental was pretty reasonable I thought 🤷 There's only 2 variants of 600/800. Think I'm safe
