    Just tested 2026 Amflow Pl

Haven’t revisited that. spreadsheet - I’d probably rate a few things on the Amflow differently now - to make it even more of a win. Interesting that you find the handling good, better, best? I must say that since I put in my angleset I am super happy with the stiffness of the front end and the...

Brilliant - good to know - thanks! I just did a work around with some builder’s line wrapped to hold the pawls closed as I slid it in. Then snaggled it out at the last…. All good. 👍

Now the freehub is off and greased, the next problem is getting the freehub back on, as the pawls are an interference fit with their housing…. somehow need to hold all three pawls closed at the same time to slide it back in. I’m starting to get really frustrated by all this. I hope i get it...

Well, that doesn’t work because the freehub just… freewheels. 😂 But, given amflow support is lying flat on me here I have pressed on. Taking the opposite end cap off reveals a 12mm allen key. That allows the end cap on the freehub to be loosened.

This can’t be a hard question to answer surely?

Servicing the freehub on an HMA - how does this end cap come off. It says ‘loosen’ (reverse thread) and has flats to do so but there are no flats on the opposite end cap? What and how should i grip to do so?

    EMTB Chain wear on average

No problems with the pair of XO1 chains I’m currently rotating on the Amflow…. I clean and wax bath with Molten Speed Wax prior to first use - that keeps grit out from the insides from the get go. Then a quick wipe down and rewax every 300kms or so, plus a chain rotate. All good.

    Just tested 2026 Amflow Pl

Well, I didn’t just consider the motor… Note that I preferred the handling of the Amflow to the Vala, but it couldn’t hold a candle to the Shuttle. Still, I’ve got the Amflow well sorted and have no regrets. 🥳

Article Avinox Motor Update: 6 New Features That Change the Ride

All that is just film flam detail to me. None of it would make me bother chasing software or any other updates. Eg ‘chain protection’ - I’ve always done that manually since my first bafang ebike 11 years ago (and that motor is on its third battery and still rocking). 🥱

Hows everyone getting on with their New AMflow

1000km trouble free here, apart from the odd creak troubleshooting. I haven’t stacked it, yet. Amazing

    Dear Winford .....

I thought about 1% of his posts had a grain of truth. That compares to 2% on average. Must improve or I’ll go ballistic.

    Which would you rather own?

Neither. An e-core looks mint from the reviews. But the price and the long chainstay in my s4 size (457mm) are not to taste. I’d go the Amf PL in silver and adjust as required. There are plenty of options which still leave a heap of money on the table. Eg I went the more trail direction...
