Cheapest emtb that is worth it?

Hi there. Can't help with the cheap e-bike business, but as someone who is still recovering from an incident that destroyed both my hips 2.5 years ago, I can recommend ddpyoga. The app has hundreds of workouts that start from people who are confined to bed, then those that use a chair and so...

Spectral ON 6.0 frame bearings failure, anyone else or just me !?

I noticed some play when lifting the rear of the bike, so decided to check the bushings. Took 20 mins going slow and steady to replace them and play is now gone. Just in case anyone is interested, this is what I did: Tools: 20Nm torque wrench with 5mm and 6mm allens (or was it 4mm?) Shock pump...

Anyone know how I can remove the need for a key, to remove the battery?

Thanks. Re removing the battery, my mates like to do long days out, as in 30/40 miles plus (check out "Kates big day out" type rides). Since my big accident where I spent 3 months in bed and the best part of 12 months in a wheel chair, I just can't stay with them without the assistance, so I'm...

Anyone know how I can remove the need for a key, to remove the battery?

To remove the battery you need a key. In the UK thats generally not a problem. But in the Alps, you need to remove the battery before you put the bike on the chairlift. I'm worried I'll lose the key in the middle of nowhere. So...anyone got any tips or done a mod to remove the need for a...

    Talk me in to one...

Two comments: 1)Try one, you buy one 2) I'd rather be seen coming out a brothel than a golf club :-)

Trek Rail 9.9 vs Specialized S-Works Turbo Levo

This has been an interesting read, and I wish I was in a position to have your dilemma. What I am about to say may not help, so sorry if it detracts from the main topic in the thread. I have a Canyon Spectral on, an aluminium full suss and a carbon hardtail. I love them all. The e-bike is...

Spectral ON 6.0 frame bearings failure, anyone else or just me !?

Quick update. Found this, which is a great resource for understanding bearing naming convention: Bearing Technical Information - Hambini Engineering

Spectral ON 6.0 frame bearings failure, anyone else or just me !?

Hi. Thank you to everyone re your comments on the frame bearings. I'd like to order a complete set, so I have things to hand should it become an issue, so I have annotated the exploded diagram attached. If those in the know, or just generally curious, could take a look and let me know if I...

    Levo to a Spectral

I'm 5'11" and have a large - it feels big to me, bigger than any other 'large' bike I've owned. Don't get me wrong, I love it and think its the 'right' size, I'm just saying they seem like big bikes to me compared to other brands I've ridden.

I don't know any better, but I think a light blast with an air compressor and/or some WD40 would be more than enough to keep things all good?

Rob I’ve watched some of your videos, can’t say I noticed the channel name. Not sure if I subscribed, I probably did (I’ll check and do it later). But if your research says change it, go for it and I wish you all the best. Getting suppliers to lend you kit for review, and then you providing...

I met Blake when he was shooting on a fat bike at the pump track in Bristol. Came across as a really nice fella, not particularly tall, but by christ has he got powerful legs? Have you seen him on that GCN FTP fitness test video? He put out over 1400 watts. That's nuts.

I just checked the pictures - the decals on the rims are louder on the 7.0, more stealthy on the 6.0. That's swung it for me, I'd buy the 6.0 and put the savings away for repairs/upgrades and maybe a an extra battery in the future. Or XT brakes ;-)

I'm no expert, but having looked at the prices of the individual components that are different, there's not much in it. As to the fork, I don't know much about Fox stuff, but I'm sure someone said that those forks are pretty much the same apart from the material used (6000 v 7000?) and that...
