    Bafang M820 Firmware thread

Hi there. The new battery level indicator curve was created based on the average values from our internal discharge tests across several of the most popular cell models. We logged some serious mileage on this, and the conclusion was unanimous – it’s way better! Another highly important matter...

    M820 Bafang - LIGHTCARBON LCE930 Frame (lightweight)

It was driving me nuts having to connect to the BMS app every time, so I wired up a NC (normally closed) switch and tucked it near the motor side cover. Now, whenever I need to get the bike going, I just hold it down for a few seconds, let go, and I'm good to ride! :) Never tried that before...

    M820 Bafang - LIGHTCARBON LCE930 Frame (lightweight)

I’ve experienced a specific glitch with my M820 that might be happening to you as well (though it could be something else entirely). If you’re using a custom-built battery with a Smart BMS, go into the control app and cut the power to the motor for at least 5 seconds. Once you restore the...

    Bafang M820 Firmware thread

Please provide the exact FW code that will change the engine's behavior after your changes. I've tried five different versions of the FW48V (I also tried the FW36V and FW43V), and changing the parameters for each version didn't change the engine's behavior in the slightest.

    Bafang M820 Firmware thread

@berglex & @Waynemarlow Guys, could you show us which FW version provides a real difference in motor feel when adjusting settings? I’ve tried switching to extreme values across multiple firmware versions and haven't noticed any change in how the motor delivers power—maybe it's just me. I'm...

E is more edgy, binary. F is more natural. On the routes you drive (not at home), you should try both versions :)

you can easily install it, but if you have a fully charged battery, the indicator will show less than 100% (FW made for the 11s package)

Bafang M510 RS - discussion, tuning, firmwares

Hi everyone, I have the opportunity to buy the M510RS. Is there anyone here who can share their thoughts on its performance and overall ride feel? Also, for those who had this motor for testing—have you received any firmware updates yet?

You can check, but first discharge the battery below 46.0V (probably around 55% charge) otherwise your SN number may be lost.

    New CEF69 bafang m510 and bafang m560 and cef50 bafang m820 frames

I’ll show off my machine as well – this was its first mountain trip, though a light one, just to make sure everything’s working fine. I can already tell that despite having a very similar geometry to the LCE930, it handles quite differently, and we’ll need some time to get in sync :-D. But the...

    New CEF69 bafang m510 and bafang m560 and cef50 bafang m820 frames

Regarding the cables passing from the rear triangle into the frame: I believe time will quickly prove me right. I’ve seen better cable routing designs that still led to rapid fraying (unless, of course, someone only rides a bike like this on asphalt). I will definitely find a way to protect them...

    New CEF69 bafang m510 and bafang m560 and cef50 bafang m820 frames

Hi, I have two questions: What’s the torque spec for the motor mounting bolts? How are you protecting the brake/shifter housings and the speed sensor cable where they pass from the main frame to the rear triangle? It looks like a high-wear area that could chew through the cables pretty quickly.
