Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

Hey team! My Fuel Exe is coming up to 3 years old and the battery is definitely not what it was. Did 25km and 650m vertical yesterday, and assisnt levels don't quite feel so strong, so it's probably at 60% of where it was when new, and it seems to be "falling off a cliff" quite quickly wrt to...

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

It's been a while since I've posted, having really enjoyed the bike. That said, like the poster above it's not been without issues. A seized rear axle and cracked rear triangle, replaced at the same time under "goodwill" rather than warranty. A couple of rides ago an error code and no power...

I don't, it's Shimano gearing and kmc e12. Which 2 piece spider are you talking about?

Has anyone managed to fit a steel chainring yet? I've been through 2 x cheese ones in 9 months and would much rather a steel one if possible. UK based. Many thanks!

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

Hey Dug, you can check out my previous posts on this. Mine started doing the same after a while. It's a warranty issue and the shop should be able to send you new hardware as the bike has probably been fitted with too narrow a piece of hardware. Be careful of even slight over torque to fix it...

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

Thanks! That comoany doesn't ship to UK, but once I knew what it was called, found several UK suppliers. My bike doesn't have the blue sleeve fitted from the factory.

Just made a massive cock up and cross threaded and wrecked the chain ring locking ring. Does anyone know of a supplier in UK/EU please?

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

Well I've loved the bike so much, that I've ridden about 700km in 3 months and the chain is knackered. I've replaced with a KMC E12, but now looks like the chainring is also worn out. Please can someone point me in the direction of a suitable steel chainring to replace it with? I'm hoping the...

You need 40 x 8... Apparently there's another standard, 39.88 that was being inadvertently supplied. Any aftermarket 40x8 bushings should work if your frame is built to spec! That's my current concern.

Sounds a lot like my problem, but different symptoms!

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

Following up from my loose lower shock mount issue on 9.7 Black Grety bike with Fox Float... Fitted offset bushing in the "high position", as some forum members and a friend had suggested. Bike now super sweet as a mullet! Unfortunately, it rotated itself into the "low position" within a handful...

I would just buy a standard one from burgtec or offsetbushings if you're in the UK and get yourself back out on the trail!

Looks like Fox are sending out 39.88mm hardware for a 40x8 mount bike. Warranty seems a quick replacement, BS are sending me a Burgtec bushing to sort the problem as Fox don't have any 40x8... Can't imagine why not 😅Quick fix! Btw mullet medium, 2.6 DHR on the back and offset bushing, got the BB...
