I think you rode the previous generation Fluid VLT. The new one has the Bosche SX motor and is an 'SL-ish' ebike. Just came out this year.

I’m in Calgary! Studded ebike when it’s solid, or fatbike when it’s not (like today!). Calgary Cycle had a delivery so I figure reviews would be coming already. Very curious about this bike!

Haven’t seen an official first ride review on this bike from anyone. My LBS has one that just arrived in stock, so some ‘tubers must have had access to these already to get ride impressions. Anyone see a review anywhere?

It’s a handmade in Canada frame. I think that’s unique and part of the appeal of it. I have the 2022 e-Troy and this new one seems to have fixed all that I didn’t like. Also the bosche modular battery system is such a good idea. Can run only the 250w extender ( main batt removed) and save loads...

Bomber Coil CR. Basically a Fox DHX with no climb switch. Read up on that one. Definitely fit n forget. And nice on your wallet.

Also check those engine mount bolts for locktite. I had a bolt back out right into the cranks (1 week of riding). They were torqued by the shop but not checked for locktite.

Murdered out. I like it. The stock dropper lever is nearly unusable! Swapped mine out too. How does your buddy like it?

Here’s a pic. Changed wheel sets to a more robust set, DH tires with inserts. If they are the same frame, this makes for a pretty versatile bike! I measure a 64.1 HA as it sits.

Since it is very hard to find any info on the Devinci E-Troy or E-Spartan, I will start this up. I bought a 2022 E-Troy, size large (I am 180cm), Deore build (for $8200 CAD). I rode it with the 160 36 for a week, then swapped to a 170mm 38 which really brought the bike to life. The bike also...

I would buy locally, but I am looking for my unicorn bike. Anything local either costs too much for the spec (ie Trek), or has a small battery (<700), a motor I don’t want (Rocky, Giant), or geo that I don’t like (Orbea, Norco). I’m quite picky! Was going to grab a SCOR from my LBS, but prices...

I am looking at buying an ebike from Europe, but am worried about duty. Normal bicycles (whole bike) are tariffed at 13% + 5% PST. But ebikes ship under a motorcycle code, so may not get the same duty. Can anyone confirm what the duty rate is on an ebike import into Canada?
