The RS Recon Gold reported axle to crown lenghts for 150 and 160 mm travel are 567 and 577 mm, so I guess you should have 10 mm increase now and approx -0.5° head angle. I'm thinking about putting a 160 mm fork, like the 2023 Lyrik Ultimate Charger 3 I can get new for 600 €.
As range report:
16.6 km, 658 m elevation
Battery consumption: 32%
Rider weight: 60 Kg
Used not more than level 3 set at 50 Nm Max torque, Factory assistance %, just to climb faster on road.
Is the power shown on Ride App the total system power or just the rider power?
After several days of rain, finally I went out for a spin. Tons of mud, so I couldn't test really the bike capabilities. Very happy about the app setting I used, by limiting the torque and using a milder launch control at the first 3 levels, that were the only ones I used. Used just 31% of the...
Hi, installed the CNC 35 mm stem I got in the last days. Went for a zero gap installation for top bolts and gap at the bottom ones, as this is the way It's shown in the product pictures. No specific recommendation about this provided by the handlebar manufacturer Sixpack (my PRO tharsis...
Yeah, the little piece of metal fell on the floor during the bar swap!
As for the handlebar, opted for carbon to cut weight (196 g on my scale) and vibration damping. I bought the Sixpack Vertic carbon as it's 785 mm out of the box, with no need to cut the ends to fit my needs. That one has...
Mine was set in high stock and I put it in low. Moved all the spacers below the handlebar and I felt it better for me. I'm getting a 35 mm stem just in case, as the Sixpack Vertic has 7 ° backsweep instead of 9 ° of the giant stock handlebar.
Got the 2, size M yesterday and swapped all the parts I ordered in the last weeks.
The weight in the shop with tubes, bottle cage was 20.76 kg
I like this new toy I had the chance to test only around my house. It's nimble and i like the feeling of the rear suspension. I like the paint and the...
@bglidin could you please take a measurement of the Giant contact trail stem height? I mean the height of the clamp on the fork steering tube, just the stem itself, excluding the spacers. Thanks!
Thank you!
Are you riding it in low or high position?
Could you take a measurement of the bottom bracket height in high or low?
How the 40 mm riser bar is affecting the handling, climbing and descending capacity?
Thanks!
I think the attached pic shows the bike in high position (bb drop=0): it looks the bb, the rear wheel and front wheel hub centre are all at the same height.
I believe they realized the Reign was sitting too low and getting too much pedal strikes.
@Rubinstein you are right 😀 please understand I bought one and I'm waiting 2 more wks for the delivery and @Montana St Alum seems keen getting one.
