FYI RF also warrantied my wheel, and they chose to provide a complete new wheel, not just a new hub. Didn't get any specific details as to the problem. Can't fault the service, it's great when a company stands behind their products (y).
I tried the PTFE fix, but no joy for me. If you do try it, make sure it doesn’t get anywhere near your brake rotor. I removed mine.

Comparing the two, it looks like the shock yoke (shock extender) might need to be replaced too? The connection between the shock yoke and the linkage arms uses different sized bearings now. The connection between the linkage arms and the seat stays looks the same, and the upper pivot axle...

Tried that, but I just don't trust myself enough taking a hammer to the bike, leading to a limit to how hard I was prepared to tap :-). But that was the method used by the mechanic when I asked. He did say he used an actual hammer on the drift, rather than a rubber mallet which was my chosen...

I agree this is problematic. Like the other posters who replied, I've used extended bits in my torque wrench, but it does still interfere at the chain ring and won't go in straight. I don't trust that the friction between the bit and the chain ring isn't invalidating the torque amount either...
