PART # 2: ORBEA RISE - LOWER MAIN LINKAGE AXLE AND BEARING SERVICE

Just a short note to add to Rod's excellent advice. When he says that the "left" (non drive side) linkage arm can be left permanently attached, this depends on which way the pivot axle was installed in the factory. One side of the pivot axle is threaded (for the purple pre-load tool) - this is...

PART # 2: ORBEA RISE - LOWER MAIN LINKAGE AXLE AND BEARING SERVICE

FYI RF also warrantied my wheel, and they chose to provide a complete new wheel, not just a new hub. Didn't get any specific details as to the problem. Can't fault the service, it's great when a company stands behind their products (y).

PART # 2: ORBEA RISE - LOWER MAIN LINKAGE AXLE AND BEARING SERVICE

I tried the PTFE fix, but no joy for me. If you do try it, make sure it doesn’t get anywhere near your brake rotor. I removed mine. I will update here once I hear what RF say.

PART # 2: ORBEA RISE - LOWER MAIN LINKAGE AXLE AND BEARING SERVICE

Hi sgtcurry. I was wondering what happened with your warranty request on the M10 Race Face Turbine wheel / Vault hub? Did you get it repaired or replaced? I am in the same position right now with a creaking rear wheel, my bike shop has just sent my wheel back to RF.

Orbea Rise upper axle grease and thread lock only maintenance.

Comparing the two, it looks like the shock yoke (shock extender) might need to be replaced too? The connection between the shock yoke and the linkage arms uses different sized bearings now. The connection between the linkage arms and the seat stays looks the same, and the upper pivot axle...

What's the verdict, is it better than the Mudhugger?

    Warranty OC2 dropper?

The seat collar "stanchion" seals are probably considered a "wear" item on a dropper. I would certainly request a warranty repair/replace if it's dumped it's oil. Having said that, an alternative replacement could be a pretty good upgrade. I found the OC2 to be quite heavy, a bit slow, and (for...

    Squeaky ep8

I have this problem too, also associated with wet rides / washing the bike. It comes and goes after exposure to water. Have you found any solution yet?

Part # 1: Orbea Rise - Upper Linkage Axle and Bearing Service

Tried that, but I just don't trust myself enough taking a hammer to the bike, leading to a limit to how hard I was prepared to tap :-). But that was the method used by the mechanic when I asked. He did say he used an actual hammer on the drift, rather than a rubber mallet which was my chosen...

    Rise main pivot bearings

b33k34 have you read Rod B's excellent "PART # 1" and "PART # 2" threads in this forum about the upper and lower linkages? There is a ton of information in there about methodology and tools.

Part # 1: Orbea Rise - Upper Linkage Axle and Bearing Service

Rod, Jene, and others, I thought I would provide a little update on my upper pivot axle situation. I eventually ordered a new pivot axle and bearings, and just managed to get the old axle out now. I had to press it out (home made press using all-thread, washers, nuts, and a large/long socket as...

    Shimano SC-EM800 or Garmin

"Should" work with the watch (e-bike sensor) I agree. My experience so far is that it does not. It only works using one of the third party data field options on my Fenix 6S.

    Shimano SC-EM800 or Garmin

Were you able to get this connected to a Rise? I’ve been waiting for Garmin to add this sensor to Fenix so when it appeared I tried it out but it won’t see my Rise. It will connect to my wife’s Turbo Levo no issues. I have a Fenix 6S. The Orbea data field and Jan Capek’s data field both work...

Opinion on Orbea changing cranks for cheaper than spec

I agree this is problematic. Like the other posters who replied, I've used extended bits in my torque wrench, but it does still interfere at the chain ring and won't go in straight. I don't trust that the friction between the bit and the chain ring isn't invalidating the torque amount either...

    Shimano SC-EM800 or Garmin

You can activate walk mode from the power up/down rocker switch. Press and hold one of the buttons and the light turns blue.
