A stronger Bosch SX and improvements for the CX coming on July 14th

I can't remember exactly what I clicked on for the motor update. I think it was the info button next to the custom riding modes, and then it said I need to update the motor. I know for sure the motor update wasn't through the normal sequence to update the software. I rode the bike out front and...

A stronger Bosch SX and improvements for the CX coming on July 14th

After you do the update. You have to do the motor update as well. The normal update only increases the watts and not the NM. I did the update this afternoon on my Santa Cruz Vela.

    Vala sizing

I rode both at 6’1”, and the XL was too big. I felt like I was off the back of the bike when I demoed the XL. I'm sure I could get used to it. But felt the Large was a better fit. But if you're wanting something more stable, then an XL might be a better choice.

I know the rear brake is because I switched the Sram Mavins out to TRP brakes. Not entirely sure about the dropper because I replaced it with my original AXS Reverb. But I would suspect it has internal routing as well at least to the motor area.

    Bosch CX Gen 5 rattle

The Vala has internal cable routing. So, it's probably not likely that the cables are causing the noise. The other things you could put a wrench on just to narrow it down are the caliper bolts, rear chainstay pivots, shock mount bolts, and headset. It's always tricky on the carbon frames because...

    Bosch CX Gen 5 rattle

I'd check to see if the screws on the bottom of the down tube are tight. There are 4 of them that should have loctite on them (9nm) and if I remember correctly they hold the battery in the frame.

That actually looks like a scratch and not a cracked rim. You may want to peel the sticker off and check beneath it. Hopefully, it is just cosmetic. I’ve broken more than a few over the last few years.

Review Rockshox Reverb AXS B1 Dropper Post (Gen 2 2026)

As far as the active ride, it's something they carried over from the AXS XLPR. The small amount of suspension you get from the post when it's lowered is stellar on my gravel bike. I've had mine for a few weeks, and it seems to be just fine on the MTB. When the dropper is fully extended, it is...

    LETS SEE YOUR RIDE FOOTAGE

Levo Gen 4 Levo Gen 4 - Discussion Thread for 8th April launch

Not a Brose motor, side-load battery looks clean, and the option left up to the customer to change from class 1 to class 3. Which, if that’s the case, is great news for those of us in the US. It also means the rest of the bike industry will have to follow suit or get left behind in the States...

    Derestricting bosch smart system

Well, I'm hopeful at least in the States that Bosch will be forced to increase the cutoff of their motor systems. Otherwise, most people will not purchase a new bike when Spesh is about to give their customers the choice to raise the limiter on the new Levo. This choice should have always been...

    Bosch Gen 5 efficiency?

For me personally, the range has been really good. But I've also turned down the power in all modes to 60nm. I weigh 90kg and was able to climb 1565m of elevation and 17.5 miles with 9% battery still left. The majority of the ride was in EMTB mode with my last lap on full turbo. This particular...

    Santa Cruz Vala

I’d agree with others who have recommended the size large. I'm 6’1” and tried both the XL and the Large in Santa Cruz, CA. The XL just felt too long, and I ended up buying a Large, even though the geo numbers on the XL were almost exactly the same as my old bike with a slightly longer reach. The...

Transition Relay Owners how's the bike?

The geo are very similar between the two. Initially, I thought the whole steeper seat angle was more bike industry marketing than an actual improvement. But in regards to the Relay I was absolutely wrong. The ability to climb steeps is significantly easier and more comfortable because you’re no...

Transition Relay Owners how's the bike?

How does the bike ride? It’s really good! For reference I’m 6’1 200lbs. Kenevo SL S4 vs Transition Relay L - Push ElevinSix was on my Kenevo and the Relay has the Fox Coil, same wheel set, group set, bars, stem, and brakes moved over to the Relay from the Kenevo. First three rides and I‘ve...
