Another thing to consider, I wanted cables externally routed, but was supplied with an ICR headset, the top bearing did not have a seal fitted on one side of it and there was no seal to go under the top cap assembly, not ideal for wet, gritty and muddy conditions often encounter here in the UK...

Be mindful of which shock you fit, I originally intended to fit a Fox Float X P.S Elite 205 x 65mm, but it was hitting the frame, see photo

It’s bolted to the bottle cage area.

The battery is attached to a bracket which is then bolted to the frame

Finally, it’s completed. It’s a ‘cheap’ build with used or ‘new old’ kit. I Have only been out for a few non technical rides, it rides well, but I have to put quite a bit of effort in to get the best out of it. It’s noisy compared to either of my Bafang motors (M510/M820). It weighs 23 kilos.

Hi, a very odd thing has developed with my M510 v2 motor which is (was) restricted to 25kph. It has recently started to give support well beyond 25kph! I have not done anything to the motor since I last did some maintenance on it sometime last year. Has anyone else experienced this? Also...

I have ordered a CEF52, currently they can only supply the EP800 motor and E8035 battery, but I’m ok with that. I was led to believe that they would have had it complete and ready for freight by the end of January but there has been delays. It appears it won’t be sent until the end of February...

An update, so far so good. The firmware has enabled me to travel far more than previously on a single charge, currently I have covered 54k mostly in E mode, but only 564 ascent, it will be higher but I have not recorded height gain on two of the three short rides I have done so far, 41%...
