Has anyone found where to remove/disable the “boost boost” option for the m1 motor? None of the setting stick and I find sometimes when trying to activate boost I accidentally change modes into boost boost and have zero assist.
Thanks in advance!
That would make more sense if everyone affected had pre-ordered far in advance, but plenty of people didn’t. I didn’t, and neither did my mate who bought one only a couple of weeks before the 9 April launch. There were still customers purchasing these bikes normally without being tied into long...
As for the exact reasons they chose to release when they did, we can only speculate. Financial pressure and contractual obligations are possible factors, but there could equally be other considerations as well. That’s not really for me to speculate on.
What I don’t think is unreasonable though...
I think it’s important to keep this thread grounded in actual owner experience and reality.
As a Velduro owner, neither I nor the group I ride with were discussing or aware of a new motor release when we purchased. Clearly some people following forums and rumours suspected something was coming...
Yeah, I agree the M1 isn’t suddenly obsolete, but the bigger issue is the abnormal depreciation impact on bikes that only just came to market a few months ago.
The same frame shipping with the M2S system will always hold more value, even though the only real difference is the M2S components...
Providing access to M2S systems as an upgrade isn’t the only avenue here.
Velduro could offer exclusive m1 owner subsidised trade-ins or cost-price frame replacement packages for people wanting to move to M2S.
Neither option necessarily leaves them out of pocket, simply pointing the finger at...
Thanks for the response. From my perspective, any workaround like buying another frame or bike just pushes all the cost and risk onto recent buyers on what is otherwise the exact same platform.
The key nuance here is that there is no difference between the frame I already own and the frame...
Edit: Updating the original post slightly to clarify a few recurring points and questions that have come up throughout the thread.
Seeing the same Rogue frame start shipping with the M2S system, in some cases only weeks after purchase for recent buyers, with no upgrade pathway for M1 owners...
I’m not sure whether I have the updated cradle. I did experience the disconnect issues, but Specialized’s solution at the time was to adjust the cradle rather than replace it. Have they since released an updated version?
In my case, the rattle wasn’t coming from the bottom; it was from the top...
Hi everyone, if anyone is experiencing a persistent rattle here’s what I found:
Issue
Rattle persists even after removing the SWAT tool.
Noise is likely from the battery eyelet around the dowel, allowing slight battery movement.
Potential fixes for Specialized
Enlarge the battery hole so a...
Yep, same fix as the assist cutting out. Try a factory reset. I also had to remove the bike from the app, and remove it from my Bluetooth settings before it would pair again.
