Does anyone know if Intense Cycles is getting out of the emtb arena? It seems all their bikes are on sale and they no longer even offer the MX Pro...or any version of what was the MX model. Just seems like they are not doing much in electric any longer.

Yup...riding on the streets is something I'll never do here in the States. Oddly enough, I have never been hit by a van while riding single track.

$100? I wouldn't even begin to hesitate to send it back for that amount. Is that a carbon frame? The amount they give you to keep it has to be enough to stop the amount you'd be pissed off every time you see it. Minimum of $500...and even then I would consider sending it back.

Downhills...no, because normally you aren't pedaling or using any assistance. Unless you turn off the assistance while pedaling, it makes no difference in range.

All my bikes have the same bars..Renthal fatty carbon. 40mm rise (I stand a lot when I ride), 760 width (to fit between trees). I really dislike aluminum bars.

So, if you sit on a chairlift and avoid the uphill are you a cheater?

Welcome. This place is full of great people and LOTS of knowledge. That being said, I can't imagine riding an organic mtb ever again. Everything happens way to slow. I was following a couple OMTG guys at Kettle Moraine last weekend and couldn't pass for a while because of the snow...eventually...

Are there any carbon bars with a rise greater than 40mm? I run Renthal's with 40 rise on a few of my bikes, but would like to try a higher rise in a carbon bar.

I pretty much lost my mind after quitting MX due to too many injuries in 2019. Gotta do something for fun. EMTB's fit the bill perfectly for me. I've managed zero injuries...except to my wallet.
