Reminds of when people used to write letters of complaint to Points of View (UK TV show for where people whinge about stuff on BBC)...
Dear Anne, I sat through 90 minutes (random TV show) and was shocked and offended throughout the whole thing...
I used to always think well why didn't you...
I'm around 95kg and bought a EP801 equipped Rise LT in January. Couldn't be happier, although I mostly ride solo. Might be a different story if I had a bunch on Amflow/Bosch Gen 5 mates.
I use my Rise LT at around 45nm mostly, increasing to around 65nm for proper steep stuff. Can't remember the last time I used the full 85nm.
The only appeal of full fat bikes for me is the bigger batteries, but then the bikes are generally heavier as a result and I dont want to ride a tank.
I'm currently using 100% Airmatics and they're amazing. Super light, nicely cut and surprisingly durable (held up well when I slide on my arse down a big granite rock slab when I was checking if it was safe to ride down!). I haven't worn them in a full on downpour but they're certainly splash...
If you're riding MTB trails then Trailforks (app/website) is pretty good as users can submit reports on trail condition and if there are any issues (overgrown, fallen trees etc). For example:
Not sure it would be much use for general riding, although the paid version does have route planning.
I also bought a cheap one from AliExpress but can't figure out how to get it to attach to Presta valves. It appears to want to screw on, but the spokes would be in the way.
