I have 9,856 km ( 6120 miles) on My BT -8020 and it holds at 86% , down 14% .
Degradation at this point has been about 1% /704 KM . or 1% per 437 miles
I never try to leave the battery fully charged ( L- ion batteries don't like being held at full charge ) over night but at 70 % and then...
The drop in power should never happen . My first motor had this and eventually cause W013 and e010 errors and the motor needed replacing . The last motor replace never did pull power at any time but suffered the same fate ( W013 and E010 ).
M y third motor ( still going ) never pulled power...
In my experience Internal issues ( torque sensors - electronics ) with Shimano motors will always progress to an initial W013 and e010. These errors just progressively get worse and will not clear easily
.These will be intermittent and seemingly can initially be reset by turning off and on ...
I have about 8700 km on my BT-E8020 battery . It charges to 87% at this point. I can get phenomenal range by riding on the flats and small hills with eco set to low and Trail set to low . Boost is set to High . I can easily ( using more of my leg power) get reading while riding of 135km range...
My ebike motor finally packed it in and will boot up normally by as you turn it on and apply pressure to the pedals it will go immediately to e010 code and not supply electrical power to the motor.
My bike mechanic has a 7000 series motor in and will be troubleshooting the failure this Monday...
The motor reset itself overnight without doing anything . Ive ridden the bike another 150 km for three separate days and three more charges and nothing . It is cold and damp outside and quite muddy. It works . No error codes.
