I have the same bike (or similar 2018 Carbon 6Fattie I think?), and I love it. I used to think my 2016 Scott Genius LT was the ultimate, with 170mm travel front and rear, I could throw it at everything and it would look after me. However, I mostly ride my Levo these days, and when I do dare to...
Plus One for Berkshire Cycles from me too. Needed some bits for my 2018 Levo and Peter from Performance Line Bearings recommended I give them a call. What an incredibly helpful bunch! Good price on new Levos too (must... resist...) ?
Thanks for all the comments and replies, and apologies for this late response - bonkers couple of weeks at work
Coffee - I took my own, can't be too careful these days ya know! :p
Thanks @Bearing Man for clearing up the queries around the new, upgraded motor. Didn't realise you'd...
The motor in my 2018 Turbo Levo started making some noise a few months ago. As per SBB (Standard Bloke Behaviour) I ignored it and carried on riding until a few weeks ago when she decided to punish me by trying to kill me... Ok, bit over-dramatic, but stopped pedalling ready for a turn and the...
Quick update. Haven't been able to test it properly yet, but getting the Bolt to forget the LEV sensor, then re-adding it and setting the wheel circumference in there to something small seems to have solved things. At least, Blevo doesn't revert to 25kph as soon as the Bolt is switched on...
Thanks McInner1, not quite the same problem, although I've suffered from inaccurate speed / distance with the Bolt as per many posts elsewhere on this forum.
I've just been doing a bit more investigation, and you can actually watch the speed setting in Blevo reset to 25kph as soon as the Bolt...
Hi folks,
I've just realised that the parameters I set with Blevo (specifically the speed restriction) are getting reset to Specialized default when I turn my Elemnt Bolt on. This seems to be a fairly recent change, as I've been using the Bolt for almost a year without this happening. I've...
Excellent work, thanks for the back to back, black and white comparison. I think your findings pretty much match mine (gathered via different methods) and shows Wahoo really have dropped the ball here.
Thanks Diver, good advice. Had another strange experience on a longish ride yesterday, seemed to be correct for a while but was definitely out towards the end of the ride. Wondering whether the Bolt lost connection with the wheel sensor when we were stopped for a while and just used the Levo...
Yep, that's the problem explained in detail right there! I've raised a couple of calls with Wahoo around this and their stock answer is that the Bolt is getting data from the Levo, so it's not their problem. I pointed out that the device is receiving and logging accurate GPS data all the time...
As far as I know, you can only see those zones on your device in the ride summary after finishing your ride. I usually skip past this screen when I'm done as I just need to go collapse somewhere! Extensive zone data is available in the companion app and Strava when uploaded.
Can't remember the exact figure off the top of my head, but I set it to the actual circumference, measured the old fashioned way by putting marks on the floor and rolling forward one full wheel turn. Using 27.5 x 2.8 plus tyres btw...
Sorry to come back to this after so long, but it looks like things have got even worse after the last two firmware updates from Wahoo. Speed and distance are now so far out, the Bolt only reports around 60% of the correct distance (as logged by Endomondo/phone and Fitbit).
I was wondering...
Sorry, messages crossed in the ether!
I measure my wheel circumference size the old fashion way by putting a mark on the garage floor with the valve at the bottom, then wheel the bike forward and mark it when it's back at the bottom again, measure between the two marks. That takes into account...
