Yes it is loud. The clutch is whining. I replaced one of the motors under warranty but the noise didn't go away so it's a feature.

Does anyone have contact with giant? You could send them a message about this and ask when a corrective update will be available. Giant Finland did not agree to forward the message, told to contact the dealer.. This is a really bad mistake by giant if the batteries cannot be fully charged!!

No problems. I have ridden in rain, mud and washed the bike with water. I have used the case open and it has been dry and clean.
